Overview

Märchen (Fairytale) is a Korean Yume Nikki fangame created by Team_Merhen in RPG Maker MV. It was developed as an entry for Dream Diary Jam 6.

Gameplay

Märchen is a traditional fangame. Interacting with the red book in the room takes the player to the Nexus. The goal of the game is to explore and collect Items to unlock the ending. Players can save using the menu or by interacting with the sheet of paper and crayons in the starting room.

Move - Arrow Keys
Interact/Select - Z/Space
Open Menu/Cancel - X/Esc

Plot

You play as Petori (페토리) and explore a strange world inside of a book.

Bookmark (책갈피)	N/A	Petori carries a bookmark. Selecting this item returns Petori to the starting room.
Airplane (비행기)		Petori becomes a paper airplane, increasing their speed.
Balloon (풍선)	N/A	Petori has a red balloon. Selecting this item returns them to the Nexus.
Manual (설명서)	N/A	Shows the instructions when selected.
Fish (물고기)	N/A	Petori has a fish. This item cannot be used or equipped.
Petals (꽂잎)	N/A	Petori has flower petals. This item cannot be used or equipped.
Puppy Doll (강아지 인형)	N/A	Petori has a brown puppy doll. Selecting this item returns them to the starting room. This item was replaced with the Bookmark* in Ver. 0.00.*
