Overview

Project Somnia is an English Yume Nikki fangame being developed by Project Somnia DA GROUP on Roblox.

Gameplay

Project Somnia plays like a traditional fangame. Sleeping on the bed in the bedroom will take the player to the dream world. The goal of the game is to explore the dream world and obtain effects.

Effect	Image	Description
Alex	N/A	The player has a little computer with a smile named "Alex" on their shoulder. Pressing Q will change Alex's expression
Ancient Terminal	N/A	The player has an ancient device that can connect to ancient structures by hovering over them with your mouse and pressing Q. This effect is also able to enable hidden paths and events
Bob The Bird	N/A	The player holds Bob The Bird. Pressing Q will make player throw around 15 bobs in front of them
Circuit	N/A	Character's head is replaced with a circuit that glows red and yellow. pressing 'Q' allows you to hack objects that glow red and yellow.
Enchanted Gem	N/A	A large white gem will follow the player from their back. Pressing Q will allow the player to set a waypoint for them to able to come back later by pressing Q, this effect is not limited to the only world you're in and the waypoint wont be gone even if the player leave the game. (unless the player came back to the waypoint or forgot to save game after making a waypoint)
Hourglass	N/A	The player holds a hourglass. Pressing Q will make the hourglass spin and make certain worlds change their appearance, some even revealing hidden teleport(s).
Incense	N/A	Player holds an incense stick. Pressing Q will make the stick lit up
Interestal	N/A	A green gem will float on top of player's head. Pressing Q will make the interestal shows a dim light
Moai	N/A	Character's head is replaced by a moai. Pressing 'Q' will play a sound.
Orb	N/A	A blue orb that follows you and provides light. Can toggle on and off with 'Q'. Can also can show hidden things in some worlds.
Pinwheel	N/A	The player gains a giant pinwheel on their back and can move faster.
Power Quartz	N/A	The player grows a power quartz on their back. Pressing Q will light up dark areas.
Retro Shapes	N/A	Character's head is replaced with a shape that spin around. Pressing 'Q' will change the shape.
Scrap Cap	N/A	Player wear a cap that's made out of scrap items, it'll show the player locations a world has thus making exploring easier. Sometime the scrap cap can be jammed unless player collect a certain scrap item, it also doesnt always work all the time.
Scythe	N/A	The player hold a scythe. Pressing Q will make the player spin around with their scythe and kill any (killable) NPCs
Sherbet	N/A	Player's head is replaced with a sherbet and the player move faster. The sherbet can be upgraded for a faster speed up to 5 times
Skull	N/A	Player's head turn into a skull. Pressing Q will make the player dash forward and makes exploring faster, this will also kills any (killable) NPCs that's in front of them. Holding Q will charge up the skull's dash and the player will dash forward even further. However this will make the skull have a longer cooldown.
The Faces	N/A	Player's head is replaced with a spinning cube. Pressing Q will make the cube change it's appearance
Twirl	N/A	You move very fast but have poor control over your character.
Valve	N/A	Valve is stick to player's torso. Pressing Q will make the valve turn on or off, making the player leak water out of their body.
