Effects Guide (New Version)
Librarian
Enter the top-right book. Go north and up the stairs to the next floor. Upstairs, go south and take the paintings off the pillars. Go back downstairs and head south. Go down the stairs into the basement. Interact with the wall in the middle of the room and put the paintings onto the wall. Interact with the NPC.
Maiden
Interact with the bottom-right book. There are three patches of land to your left, above and below you. Interacting with the flower(s) in the center of these patches will take you to a room with a NPC praying to a statue. Take note of what direction each statue is facing (west, north and south respectively).
Go east from where the world entrance is. Find a patch of land with two rows of pillars on it. Step between the top row of pillars and you'll enter a room with three statues. Interact with each statue and turn the left one to face West, the middle one to face North, and the right one to face South. A door will appear on wall, enter it. Go up and interact with the NPC.
Mask
Enter the bottom-left book. Go north-west and follow the lamps to a purple tree. Interacting with the tree can cause different types of fruit to appear on screen. Interact with it until it gives you a plum. You can reroll by leaving and re-entering the area until it gives you the plum. Go north-east from there and interact with the shrine. Interact with the person behind the booth one over from the left. Choose the second option to trade the plum for the effect.
Umbrella
Enter the top-left book. Go north and find a lake with a dock next to it. Walk up the stairs on the dock and enter the lake. Go right and interact with the NPC.
Tarot
Enter the bottom-left book. Go north-east and interact with the stone lantern to be teleported to another area. Go south-east into a forest area and interact with the floating card in the middle of a patch of flowers.
Ghost
Enter the top-right book. Use the Mask effect and talk to the NPC on the first floor until she asks if you want to know a secret, she will give you a key which you can use on the door of the second floor. When you enter the room and grab the effect a boy will appear and the only way to get out is to interact with him.

Librarian
Enter the pink doors. Go north-east and enter the door with a grey painting beside it. Interact with the spakles.
Maiden
Enter the blue doors. Go left and interact with the open flower between two closed flowers. Go up and interact with the maiden.
Leaf Umbrella
Enter the grey doors. Go up, right and down. Interact with the candlestick.
