I recently learned about an interesting fact that may or may not be relevant:
The "Rust" Sabitsuki is suffering from bears a great resemblance to necrotizing fasciitis: People with a compromised immune system (which includes albinos) have an increased susceptibility to it; the first symptom is fever (which could explain Sabitsuki's weird nightmares) before dermonecrotic lesions begin to appear (skin "rusting away"); without immediate surgical treatment (Sabitsuki quarantines herself instead), the necrosis spreads rapidly and can easily lead to the loss of entire limbs (as in the third ending/official artwork).
