Is it the "DDERR_UNSUPPORTED" popup that you're getting? If so, you'll need to right-click the game's start up file, go into properties and click the compatability tab. Check the: "Run this program in compatability mode for: (whichever OS is given by default), click Apply then exit. You should then be able to open the game.
