Overview
UnExpected is an English Yume Nikki fangame, made by Lucis and made the RPG Maker VX. It stars a boy named Celesentian.
The game is infamous for having spelling errors in its dialogues and crashing without warning because of missing files. It is also debatable whether the game is really in English, as there are still parts that didn't get translated and have stayed in Polish.
Gameplay
UnExpected is pretty unique, as it doesn't play the same way most fangames does and is more of a basic RPG game. According to the creator, "This game is difficult and there's no effects".
Celesentian is awake during all the game. You can make him run by holding the Shift key, but cannot come back to the start unless you find the exact teleport point, which is not always possible.
Unlike the big majority of fangames, you can save at any time.
Plot
Although there seems to be some kind of story, it stays very vague. Celesentian obtained the keys of a house from a man; it is unknown if it's his house. The next day, while the protagonist readies himself to go out, he finds out that he cannot leave, as the door loops back to the entrance.
At this point, several of the furnitures can teleport him to different locations.
