Overview

Kudaranu Mousou No (くだらぬ妄想の, Delusions of Our Dreams / Ridiculous Dream) is a discontinued Yume Nikki fangame created by Melth, starring Kazaguruma (かざぐるま) and Jose (ホセ) . Though it was widely referenced in the Japanese fangame community, it was obscure to Western fans, as the unfinished version was taken out of public circulation by its author in 2011, and was, until an unofficial reupload in 2015, unobtainable.

Gameplay

Unlike other fangames, Kudaranu Mousou No introduces the concept of linear locations. Instead of exploring the entire dreamworld at once, the player is required to enter worlds and collect effects one at a time in order to reach an ending.

Plot

Kazaguruma's side of the game starts in a hospital room. Her sister is in the room, and will make a noise when interacted with. Attempting to leave the room without any ending conditions results in her attempting to open a locked door.

Jose's side of the game starts in his bedroom. The hall outside his bedroom can be entered, but trying to head outside the hall results in Jose walking back. Aside from a neighboring bedroom, all doors are locked. To the left of Jose's room is his sister's room, which looks near identical to Jose's.
