Overview

Kudaranu Mousou No (くだらぬ妄想の, Ridiculous Delusion) is a Yume Nikki fangame created by Melth in RPG Maker 2000, it stars Kazaguruma (かざぐるま) and Jose (ホセ) . Though it was widely referenced in the Japanese fangame community, it was obscure to Western fans, as the unfinished version was taken out of public circulation by its author in 2011, and was, until an unofficial reupload in 2015, unobtainable.

Few years later the author renewed the game to Ver.0.03 on March 18, 2018 complete with WOLF RPG Editor, the author stated Kazaguruma is the only featured protagonist for now, and Jose might be added in the future version.

The author fulfilled that promise when Jose became playable once more with the release of Version 0.04d on April 25, 2018.

Gameplay

Unlike other fangames, Kudaranu Mousou No introduces the concept of linear locations. Instead of exploring the entire dream world at once, the player is required to enter worlds and collect effects one at a time in order to reach an ending.

Plot

Kazaguruma's side of the game starts in a hospital room. Her sister is in the room, and will make a noise when interacted with. Attempting to leave the room without any ending conditions results in her attempting to open a locked door.

Jose's side of the game starts in his bedroom. The hall outside his bedroom can be entered, but trying to head outside the hall results in Jose walking back. Aside from a neighboring bedroom, all doors are locked. To the left of Jose's room is his sister's room, which looks near identical to Jose's.
