Overview

Tec is a Japanese Yume Nikki fangame which, contrary to popular belief, is actually xom's first fangame; xom would later go on to release Older, S⁄⁄D and obox. It was created with RPG Maker XP.

Its primary motif is technology, hence the name, the title screen's modern design, Funetsuki's modern bedroom computer and some of the effects.

Gameplay

In Tec, instead of the bed, Funetsuki opens her dresser/cabinet to enter the dream world. She can save using the computer in her room.

Many of the doorways to other maps in the game are pieces of coral-like structure which come in a variety of colors. A lot of traveling is done one way; i.e., often the player cannot go back in the direction they came from.

Open Menu/Cancel - X/Esc

Plot

Tec has many themes of technology, and what seems to be the future. In one part there is a museum-like area with Takashi's effects and even a statue of him (This was before Older was released).

Older seems to be the prequel of Tec, with some worlds similar to Tec, and expanding on Funetsuki and Takashi's relationship/backstory.

Skate Board (スケボー)		Funetsuki rides a skate board. This doubles her speed.
FOX		Funetsuki has fox ears and a fox tail.
Lightsaber (ライトセーバー)		Funetsuki holds a green lightsaber. She can use it to kill NPC and chasers.
Sunglasses (サングラス)		Funetsuki wears a pair of orange sunglasses.
Hair buns (おだんごヘアー)		Funetsuki wears her hair in odango (pigtail) buns.
Mobile (モバイル)		Funetsuki's head turns into a phone.
Display (ディスプレイ)		Funetsuki's head turns into a monitor.
Golf Ball (ゴルフボール)		Funetsuki's head turns into a golf ball.
Backpack (リュック)		Funetsuki wears a backpack and her hair is shorter.
Cyber Suit		Funetsuki wears a blue cyber suit. An unused effect.
UFO		Funetsuki's legs seem to be replaced with a UFO. An unused effect.
