Overview

Usagi (lit. Rabbit in Japanese) is an English Yume Nikki fangame developed by LunarRabbit in RPG Maker 2003. It stars Umiko.

Gameplay

Usagi is a rather traditional Yume Nikki fangame. It is exploration based, with the goal being to find and collect effects. Along with effects, the player must also collect other small items called Mementos to unlock one of the two endings. The player can enter the dream world by sleeping in the bed, and save by using the laptop.

Plot

"Once in the dream world, Umiko can visit numerous surreal worlds, find effects that change her appearance (and give her new abilities) and collect Mementos, which are needed in order to complete the game.

While exploring the dream world, the player is encouraged to interpret the different events, locations and NPCs he/she encounters to uncover Umiko's backstory." (Taken from the RPG Maker page)

Bunny		Umiko has bunny ears, increasing her speed.
Devil		Umiko becomes a demon. Pressing Z will allow you to burn NPCs.
Vampire		Umiko becomes a vampire. Pressing 1 makes her fly back to the Nexus.
Ghost		Umiko becomes a ghost. Reveals hidden paths when equipped.
Red Hair		Umiko becomes a redhead.
Uniform		Umiko wears a school uniform. Hostile Chasers become neutral and won't chase you.

1. There may be a file in the Charset folder improperly named klot> that prevents Umiko from going to her balcony or sleeping without crashing the game. To fix this, rename the file to klot・
