Overview
Melodia is an English Yume Nikki fangame made by Sakura-Sun in RPG Maker 2003. Melodia, as the title suggests, has a major musical motif. It has a rather small amount of worlds, with no areas going past the Nexus doors.
In its prototype state, materials either come from free-to-use resources or are borrowed from other games such as Lcd Dem (Ver.0.020 at the game's date of creation).
Gameplay
The objective of Melodia is to collect Melodies throughout the dream world, accessed through falling asleep in front of the TV. Collecting Melodies causes more doors to appear at the Nexus. Melodies serve as the game's equivalent of effects, though they are not equipable or usable.
Plot
You play as Analiese, a young girl who has locked herself up from the outside world, and wants nothing to do with it. You explore her dreams and collect melodies that remind Analiese of the good times she had in the outside world.
As part of a pregame cutscene, Analiese is shown walking in the darkness with a similar-looking character on each side of her before reaching her room.
