Overview

Kyomu (虚夢, lit. "Imaginary/Hollow Dream") is a Japanese Yume Nikki fangame made by :urakise in RPG Maker 2000.

Gameplay

Unlike most Yume Nikki fangames, the player sits on the bed to daydream rather than sleep. The player can explore the dream world and collect effects. Progress is saved using the green diary on the floor of the bedroom.

Plot

The main character is a young girl named Moyatsuki. Moyatsuki's appearance and real room hint that she's from a very poor family. She wears no shoes, her room is quite neglected, her bedsheets are ragged, her bookshelf is empty, and she has a dead flower on her balcony. Outside of her dreams, Moyatsuki refuses to leave her room. In contrast to this description, her dream room looks cozy and neat, and she can travel outside of it.

Name	Image	Description
Postbox / Mailbox (ポスト)		Moyatsuki becomes a red mailbox.
Hole (あな)		Moyatsuki's face becomes entirely black. Pressing Shift makes the darkness spread to the rest of her body, warping her to the Nexus.
Unicycle (いちりんしゃ)		Moyatsuki rides a unicycle, increasing her speed.
Chain (チェーン)		Moyatsuki holds a large chain; used to kill NPCs.
Short Hair (ショットヘアー)		Moyatsuki gains short hair.
Illumination (イルミネーション)		Moyatsuki becomes bright with dots of color.
Pomegranate (ざくろ)		Moyatsuki's head turns into a pomegranate.
Tan (ひやけ)		Moyatsuki becomes tan.
Winged Cat (つばさねこ)		Moyatsuki grows gray wings, gray cat ears and a tail.
