Complete guide for Yume Iro and New Yumeiro X, as of, respectively, versions 1.50 and 0.00.

Note: The effects present in New Yumeiro X are found in the same locations as the original game, although one of them might be harder to find due to the absence of a specific NPC.

Effects Guide

Black and White (しろくろ, 白黒)

Appearance: Otetsuki's sprite becomes monochrome.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: None.

Location: Found in the white swirl world.

Practical Uses: None.

Interact with the white swirl. Go south-east and interact with another white swirl. Interact with the white square.

Jumpsuit (つなぎ)

Appearance: Otetsuki turns into Abe Takakazu from the adult manga Kuso Miso Technique.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) Otetsuki says "Yaranaika" ("Shall we do it?").

Location: Found in the Abe Takakazu world.

Practical Uses: None.

Interact with the male symbol. Interact with the NPC walking around.

Small (ちいさい)

Appearance: Otetsuki becomes a small sprite.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: None.

Location: Found in the small NPC world.

Practical Uses: None.

Step onto the red puddle. Go right along the path and step on the red puddle at the end of it. Go right and step on the puddle at the end of the spiral path. Go to the end of the next spiral path you're teleported to and interact with the small stick figure.

Ohaoh (お覇王)

Appearance: Otetsuki becomes Ryo Sakazaki from the game Art of Fighting.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) Otetsuki says one of Ryo Sakazaki's lines.

Location: Found in the Ryo Sakazaki world.

Practical Uses: None.

Interact with the NPC with short blond hair. Go right and interact with the NPC again.

Broly (ブロリー)

Appearance: Otetsuki turns into Broly from Dragon Ball Z.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) Otetsuki yells one of Broly's lines.

Location: Found in the Broly world.

Practical Uses: None.

Interact with Broly (long-haired blond man). Go south-east and interact with Broly.

Teleportation (しゅんかんいどう)

Appearance: No change.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: None.

Location: Found in the Teleportation world.

Practical Uses: Used to teleport to the nexus when equipped.

Step onto the star circle. Go south-east and interact with the white sign.

Popuko (ポプ子)

Appearance: Otetsuki becomes Popuko from Pop Team Epic.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: None.

Location: Found in the Popuko maze.

Practical Uses: None.

The Cheat effect is recommended.

Interact with Popuko (short girl with pigtails). Equip the Cheat effect. If you don't have it, you'll have to nagivate the invisible maze. Go north-east and interact with Popuko.

Pipimi (ピピ美)

Appearance: Otetsuki becomes Pipimi from Pop Team Epic.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: None.

Location: Found in the Pipimi maze.

Practical Uses: None.

The Cheat effect is recommended.

Interact with Pipimi (blue-haired girl). Equip the Cheat effect. If you don't have it, you'll have to nagivate the invisible maze. Go north-east and interact with Pipimi. Go south-west and interact with Pipimi again. Go north-east for a second time and interact with Pipimi to get the effect.

Employee (かいしゃいん)

Appearance: Otetsuki becomes the salaryman protagonist from the game Takeshi's Challenge.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: None.

Location: Found in the white tile maze.

Practical Uses: None. Interact with the yellow sign. Go down and step onto the moon. Go right in the maze and find a man standing somewhere below you. Talk to the man and he'll comment on how navigating the maze is such a pain and offers Otetsuki a shortcut. Select the first answer (Yes) and he'll teleport you after advising that it'll be difficult to make it back without a Teleportation effect. You'll get the effect after you're teleported.

Kunio (くにお)

Appearance: Otetsuki becomes Kunio-kun, from the series of the same name.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: None.

Location: Found in the Kunio world.

Practical Uses: None.

Interact with the yellow sign. Go down and step onto the moon. Go right in the maze and find a man standing somewhere below you. Talk to the man and select the first option to get teleported. From where you're teleported, go south-west and interact with the second Otetsuki. Go up and step on the crack in the ground. Interact with the NPC next to the other Otetsuki. Interact with the NPC walking around.

Remake (リメイク)

Appearance: Otetsuki's sprite gets a makeover, adding shading.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: None.

Location: Found in the remake world.

Practical Uses: None. Interact with the curved gray object. Go south-east and interact with the other Otetsuki.

Group Leader (だんちょう)

Appearance: Otetsuki becomes Orga Itsuka from Gundam IBO.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) Otetsuki says one of Orga Itsuka's lines.

Location: Found in the Orga Itsuka world.

Practical Uses: None.

Interact with the floating red symbol. Interact with the NPC standing in front of the building.

Cheat (チート)

Appearance: Otetsuki becomes semi-transparent.

Passive Effect: Otetsuki's movement speed increases by a lot and she can phase through everything.

Action: None.

Location: Found in the Otetsuki world.

Practical Uses: Used to travel much faster through the dreamworld and bypass mazes.

Interact with the yellow sign. Go down and step onto the moon. Go right in the maze and find a man standing somewhere below you. Talk to the man and select the first option to get teleported. From where you're teleported, go south-west and interact with the second Otetsuki. Go up and step on the crack in the ground. Talk to the other Otetsuki and she'll ask if you want to talk with her. Select the first dialogue option (Yes) to get the effect.

Endings Guide - Yume Iro

Collect all 13 effects + Normal and wake up. Go to sleep and interact with the sleeping Otetsuki. Here, you are no longer able to wake up and both the Teleportation and Cheat effects have been removed from the inventory. It seems that the only way to exit is by quitting the game.
