Overview
black rain is a collaborative English fangame developed in RPG Maker 2003. The project is currently led by Murasaki no Yume.
Gameplay
black rain is a traditional fangame. Sleeping in the bed takes the player to the dream world. The goal of the game is to explore the dream world and collect Trinkets, which can change the player's appearance and/or grant new abilities. Progress can be saved at the desktop computer in the waking world; to exit the computer, players must select the button at the bottom-left corner of the screen.

Plot
The game stars Sizuku, a young girl who doesn't want to leave her room.

Sizuku rides in a swan cart, increasing her speed. Pressing Shift makes her jump on the spot. |

Sizuku becomes a red-haired oni. Pressing Shift simplifies her sprite. |

Sizuku has the ears and tail of a wolf. Pressing Shift makes rain fall. Pressing 3 makes her howl. Ippiki ōkami (一匹狼) is a Japanese term that translates to "lone wolf" in English. |
| Ushanka |   |
Sizuku wears a ushanka. Pressing Shift makes snow fall, and changes the color of the ushanka. |
| Grasshopper |   |
Sizuku has grasshopper wings and antenna. Pressing Shift fully transforms her into a grasshopper, allowing her to fit through small spaces. Pressing 3 while in grasshopper form makes her jump forward. |
| Pan Flute |  |
Sizuku holds a pan flute near her mouth and pressing effect action keys will make her play different melodies with it. |
