One unique aspect of this game is that you can collect loops of the games music (which appear as floating orange music notes) that you can play on Shimotsuki's laptop in the real world.
Uniquely, music tracks are not given by merely entering areas. Instead, tracks are collected through finding floating orange music notes in dream world locations.

Overview

Mortalis (モルターリス, Morutārisu) is a Yume Nikki Fangames created by Inari (稲荷) in WOLF RPG Editor, starring Shimotsuki (しもつき). The game was originally an OriYume (オリ夢) project, but was later given a public release.

Gameplay

Mortalis is a traditional Yume Nikki fangame. Shimotsuki refuses to leave her room, instead exploring a dream world seeking to collect effects. In the room, the bed is used to enter the dream world and the laptop is used to save, along with listening to music. Additionally, there is a game console resembling a GameCube in the room that can be used to play Tomato (described further below).

In Tomato, the player must use the character to catch falling tomatoes: green tomatoes score 1 point, red tomatoes score 5 points, and yellow tomatoes score 10 points. The tomatoes fall faster after a certain score is reached. After 3 tomatoes hit the floor, a game over occurs. Pressing Q on the title screen displays high scores.
