Overview

S//D is a Japanese Yume Nikki Fangame made by xom. It's made in RPG Maker XP and plays a bit differently than most fangames.

Gameplay

Unlike most Yume Nikki fangames, the Nexus can be accessed immediately by exiting the bedroom. Returning to the bedroom can be done by pressing the D key or by selecting Eject from the menu. Interacting with the flower vase allows for the hotkeys to be toggled on or off. Saving is done at the bed.

Another difference from most fangames is that some NPCs give a fake effect which will trap the player in an enclosed area once it is used. The fake effects have separate options from the real ones in the menu, which have the same descriptions, and can be obtained more than once from these NPCs.

Certain chasers and events may cause the player to lose one or all of their effects. The lost effects need to be obtained again from where they're initially found if this happens.

Plot

You play as Mark, a man (likely older than most protagonists) who is stuck in his room, and explore his dream world.

Opposite (Gender) (逆)		Mark becomes a girl. She wears a skirt and her hair is tied in pigtails with ribbons.
Caster (キャスター)		Mark has casters attached to his shoes that increase his speed.
Kunai (クナイ)		Mark wields a pair of Kunai as a weapon. Pressing A makes him swing them forward.
Cube (キューブ)		Mark turns into a green cube and his speed goes slightly down.
Organic EL (有機EL)		Mark's head turns into an organic EL panel. Pressing A turns the panel on, lighting dark areas.
Huge Bronze Statue (巨大銅像)		Mark turns into a huge statue and his speed goes slightly down.
