Overview

Yume Nikki: Solitude (otherwise known as Solitude) is an English Yume Nikki fangame that was planned to be produced by Uboachan in RPG Maker 2003. It was cancelled after the first release.

Made about two years after Yume 2kki, Solitude remained the only other existing attempt at a massively-collaborative fangame for 6 years. This was changed with the release of Uneven Dream in 2015 and later Yume Shikki in 2019.

Gameplay

You play as Kazenori in what seems like a hospital. When he falls asleep, you are taken to his dream world. All of the effects are available for you to use and there are only a handful of rooms to explore.

Controls

  • Move - Arrow Keys
  • Interact/Select - Z/Space
  • Open Menu/Cancel - X/Esc

Plot

Kazenori seems to be trapped in the hospital, and his only method of escape is through his dreams. Apparently there were many ideas for the plot for this game, but due to its early cancellation the actual plot is unknown.

Effects

All of the effects are already in your inventory to use when you enter the dream world, due to the "first release" being in more of a beta-testing stage.
