Overview

Yume Noroi (ユメノロイ) (Yumenoroi, 夢呪, lit. Dream Curse) is a Japanese Yume Nikki fangame made by Nueko in RPG Maker 2000. It stars Tsumetogi, possibly an older dreamer who seems to be a hikikomori.

Gameplay

Yume Noroi plays like most Yume Nikki fangames. The main objective is to collect effects. The "dream world" is entered through the computer, and saving is done with the papers next to the computer. Tsumetogi wakes up from the menu, and crawls out of her bed when "waking up".

When an effect is collected, a glowing circle appears in the Nexus. Effects can be placed on these circles with Z, and taken back if the circle is interacted with a second time.

Different versions of Tsumetogi can be seen in the "dream" world, suggesting she's ashamed of herself or her past actions. It seems like she had problems in school and got very jealous over a crush. Using the nail effect on hearts causes a nail to be driven through them and stay there, possibly meaning she was rejected by or heartbroken over this person.

[ In the School World, Tsumetogi is shown smiling over the dead body of what appears to be her crush/loved one, for there have also been parts where both were shown smiling and holding hands, a giant hand separating the pair in a room with another Tsumetogi sitting all alone. After collecting all the effects and placing them on their respective circles in the nexus, going outside to Tsumetogi's balcony shows stairs that were not there before, and she then jumps off, similar to Yume Nikki's ending. ]

Effects

Name	Image	Description
Nail (くぎ)		Tsumetogi wields a huge, sharp nail as a weapon. This effect allows her to harm NPCs. Pressing SHIFT makes her stab outward with the nail.
Tanuki (たぬき)		Tsumetogi grows tanuki ears and tail, and a leaf stays on her head.
Seedbed (なえどこ)		Tsumetogi's skin becomes a dark green and a red flower sprouts from her head, decreasing her speed.
Straw Doll (わらにんぎょう)		Tsumetogi holds a small straw doll. Pressing SHIFT makes her squeeze the doll and warp back to the Nexus.
Hat (ハウチング)		Tsumetogi wears some sort of outfit and a green-white hat. Pressing SHIFT nod and touch the brim of her hat.
Ghost (ゴースト)		Tsumetogi becomes a ghost, increasing her speed.
Student (がくせい)		Tsumetogi wears a school uniform.
