Overview
Answered Prayers is a Yume Nikki fangame made by Klaufir in RPG Maker 2003. Being one of the more well-known English fangames, Answered Prayers is also one of the 'lighter' Yume Nikki fangames, with plenty of areas to explore and little gore/blood compared to many other Yume Nikki derivatives.
The project went on hiatus from 2013 to 2022. On the 5th of July 2022, the official website was updated with new screenshots and a note that version 0.04 was in development.
Gameplay
Answered Prayers plays like a traditional fangame. Praying at the shrine lets you enter the spirit world. From there, there are various areas that you can explore to find all of the effects (known as Prayers). Saving is done by interacting with the well in the shrine.
Controls
- Move - Arrow Keys
- Interact/Select - Z/Space
- Open Menu/Cancel - X/Esc

Plot
The game's protagonist is Fluorette, a girl who has run away from home. Getting caught in a storm, she takes refuge in a strange little shrine. She refuses to leave the shrine once inside because the storm is too strong, so the player has no choice but to explore the spirit world with her.
Throughout the game, there are symbols of Fluorette's religion (priestesses, Buddhist manji, etc.) as well as spirits and other supernatural beings.
Prayers (Effects) and Items
