Overview

Nightmarescape (悪夢のような風景) is an English Yume Nikki Fangame created by SuperBroderOne. It was developed in RPG Maker MV.

Gameplay

Nightmarescape is a traditional fangame. Sleeping in the bed takes the player to the dream world. The goal of the game is to explore and collect effects. Players can save by interacting with the computer in the bedroom.

Controls

Move - Arrow Keys
Interact/Select - Z/Space
Open Menu/Cancel - X/Esc
Effect Action - Shift

Plot

You play a girl named Akari and explore her dreams.

Effects

Effect	Image	Description
Oil		Akari turns into oil. Pressing Shift makes her melt slightly.
Paper Plane		Akari rides on a paper plane, increasing her speed. Pressing Shift makes her spin around.
Dragon		Akari grows dragon horns and a tail. Interacting with NPCs makes her burn them.
Clown		Akari becomes a clown. Pressing Shift makes her honk her nose.
Eye TV		Akari has a television with an eye on the screen for a head. Pressing Shift warps her to the Nexus.
Bee		Akari becomes a bee. Pressing Shift makes her flap her wings.
Whipped Cream		Akari has whipped cream on her head. Pressing Shift makes her sneeze bits of whipped cream.
Spring Shoes		Akari wears shoes with springs underneath. Pressing Shift makes her hop on the spot.
Snowwoman		Akari becomes a snowwoman, summoning snowfall.
Kitsune Mask		Akari wears a Kitsune Mask. Pressing shift makes the screen flash white.
