Overview

Older is a fangame by xom, the creator of S⁄⁄D, Tec and obox. It stars a boy named Takashi (たかし), who is speculated by many fans to be a soldier of sorts. He can access the dream world through an old projector.

Gameplay

Older is like most Yume Nikki fangames, but the focus is more on collecting the 4 effects scattered throughout Takashi's "dream" world. Takashi enters the dream world from what appears to be an old-fashioned projector/camera. You save at the typewriter, but there is also the option to save from the menu.

Plot

The "dream world" seems to consist of Takashi's memories/thoughts, many of which involving soldiers, tanks or old-fashioned things.

After collecting all effects and attempting to leave the room, a soldier comes out of the door and shoots Takashi. The game then cuts to many years in the future, in a worn out version of Takashi's room. Then the player controls a young Funetsuki, the protagonist of Xom's other fangame, Tec. Interacting with the projector ends the game.
