Umbra is a Yume Nikki fangame made by Rusch (Mugi).

Gameplay
Umbra is the first game to use talk sprites, as well as the first to make dialogue an important gameplay element. Other games have adopted this format such as The Looking Glass.
The gameplay is traditional where the player is collecting effects, but with more puzzles and having dialogue choices affect the game.
The method of "dreaming" is though Scott's TV. You can save in the bed. The Nexus is an old arcade, and the nexus "doors" are arcade machines.
Plot
Umbra stars Scott, a boy who gets trapped inside his home due to a storm. The game starts off with him walking into his home and commenting on how cold it is outside.
You are unable to leave his apartment. The main focus of the game is exploring his dream world.
