Before she goes to sleep, she takes a electric grill from her balcony, put it next to her bed, put her clothes in it, and turned it on before going to bed. This sugests that she was attempting to commit suicide in her sleep. In her dream, Annabelle relives her positive memories that gives her reasons to live. However, as Annabelle experience these positive memories, the things she is running away from slowly catches up to her by the end of her dream. By the end of the first game, we see the end result of her suicide attempt. Her father, Jason, managed to turn off the electric grill before it could start a fire. However, Annabelle woke up and stabed Jason. After doing so, she reattempted suicide by hanging herself in the bathroom. The game ends with her best friend Melody arriving to see the aftermath.

The Dreams of Melody Moonlight
