'''*Illness*''' is a Japanese fangame by [[Atami (熱海)|Atami]], developed in WOLF RPG Editor. With sixteen effects and no endings, the game appears to be in its final version; and while there are a number of obvious bugs, it shows large graphical and structural improvement over the author's previous game from at least one year prior.

In core essence, it is not entirely an eccentric fangame. It's unique characteristics are the existence of several effects on the same maps and its hallmark zoomorphic panoramas.

Overview

*Illness* is a Japanese fangame by Atami, developed in WOLF RPG Editor. With sixteen effects and no endings, the game appears to be in its final version. Players can save by waking up and interacting with the book on the desk.

Footnotes

  1. Umineko is the Japanese word for the Black-tailed gull, though it is usually written in kana (ウミネコ). Paired with the Higurashi reference, the effect name is a likely nod to 07th Expansion's other visual novel series, Umineko No Naku Koro Ni.
  2. The outfit is a reference to Rena Ryūgū, a character from the Japanese visual novel series Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni.
