Effects Guide - Version 0.03
Bubble
Float in a bubble to increase your speed.
Appearance: Isaac is surrounded by a bubble.
Passive Effect: Isaac's movement speed is doubled.
Action: None.
Location: Found at the bottom of the cave.
Practical Uses: Can be used to outrun NPCs and access some events.
Enter the center "door" in the nexus. Head down until you hit a line of hills, then go right and enter a hole in the ground. Go down the rope. Head left, down, right, down, left, down. Go down the rope ladder and interact with the bubble at the bottom.
Icicle
Your arm becomes a sharp icicle.
Appearance: Isaac's right arm becomes an icicle.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Isaac causes snow to fall.
Location: Found in the ice cave.
Practical Uses: Allows Isaac to attack some NPCs and access some events.
In the nexus, enter the right "door". Go down and you'll pass a few trees. After the third tree, go left and interact with the purple object. In the new are, head north and once you see a group of trees, go northwest. Follow the line of trees west and enter the cave. Follow the path of the cave. When you hit a fork, take the bottom path. When you see a second fork, take the top path. One you reach the end room, interact with the icicles.
Vapor
Turn into a misty vapor that helps you blend in.
Appearance: Isaac transforms into vapor.
Passive Effect: Isaac is ignored by some chasers.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the tooth hallway.
Practical Uses: Allows Isaac to not get caught by some chasers.
In the nexus, enter the right "door". Go down and you'll pass a few trees. Around the third tree, walk over to 2 blinking eyes on the ground. From the tree, head northeast until you see another eye, step on that and go east until you see the fourth eye. Walk over it and go southwest and step on the fifth and final eye. Head west and there will now be a tooth with an open mouth. Enter it, go east, and interact with the imp.
Chalice
Raise your glass to return to the nexus.
Appearance: Isaac holds a chalice.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Isaac drinks form the chalice, warping him to the nexus or sending him to an inescapable area if his sin count is high.
Location: Found in the the church.
Practical Uses: This effect allows Isaac to teleport to the nexus at will.
Enter the left "door" in the nexus. Climb up the center of the well. Head east and enter the church. Go up through the doors. Collect all five chalices, you'll find them if you check every room. You'll get the effect after the last chalice is obtained.
Cloud
Summon a storm.
Appearance: Isaac's rides on a storm cloud.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Isaac summons a rainstorm.
Location: Found in the cloud tower.
Practical Uses: Allows Isaac to access some events.
- You will need the Vapor effect to obtain this effect.
Enter the center "door" in the nexus. Head down until you hit a line of hills and follow it until the line ends. Go southeast and turn south when you see a group of 3 trees. Enter the house. Equip the Vapor effect and walk into the bath from the top. In the new are, head north and enter the building. Continue walking up the stairs until you reach the top and interact with the raindrop in the center.
Events
Steam Event
Enter the center "door" in the nexus. Head down until you hit a line of hills and follow it until the line ends. Go southeast and turn south when you see a group of 3 trees. Enter the house. Equip the Bubble effect and walk into the bath from the top and wait for the room to steam.
