Overview

Wait for Daylight is an English Yume Nikki fangame created by Nin2ds in RPG Maker 2003.

Gameplay

Wait for Daylight is a traditional fangame. The player enters the dream world by letting Nio lay in bed. She will then start daydreaming, rather than fully sleeping. The goal is to explore and obtain Wishes. Interacting with the open book on the table allows the player to save and/or exit the game.

Move - Arrow Keys
Interact/Select - Z/Space
Open Menu - X/Esc
Effect Action - Shift

Plot

You play as Nio, a girl who can't seem to fall asleep normally and spends her time daydreaming instead.

Effects (Wishes)

Name	Image	Description	Icon
Bunny		Nio becomes a bunny. Pressing Shift makes her ears flop.
Child		Nio becomes a child. Pressing Shift makes her jump on the spot.
Weird		Nio becomes a weird creature. Pressing Shift makes Nio roar.
Succubus		Nio becomes a succubus. Pressing Shift makes her giggle devilishly.
Ghost		Nio becomes a ghost. Pressing Shift makes her turn transparent and hide her face.
Deity		Nio becomes a god. Pressing Shift makes Nio raise her arms and cause the screen to flash.
Scientist		Nio becomes a scientist. Pressing Shift three times makes her laboratory mix explode on her face.
Robot		Nio becomes one with the network. Pressing Shift makes her robotic ears emit a signal.
