Overview

Nyan Nikki (also called Nyan Nikki Sugar Diary) is an English Yume Nikki fangame created by an unknown developer. It is a fangame of both Yume Nikki and the animated Youtube series Nyan~ Neko Sugar Girls.

Very little information on this fangame exists outside of a single (now privated) Youtube video.

Gameplay

Nyan Nikki seems to play like a traditional fangame, with the player starting in a bedroom. The player can save from the menu. They can also interact with the desk, to which Raku-chan will say "desk-chan~ ~ ~ ~". Interacting with the bed does nothing but show dialogue that says "^_^". Going outside leads to a game over, and the second half of the video is just the game over screen.

Plot

Very little is known about the game's plot. In the Youtube video, starting a new game plays a rendition of the Nyan Neko Sugar Girls intro, but with the characters as Yume-Nikki-style sprites. You then play as Raku-chan, one of the main characters from Nyan Neko Sugar Girls. In the video, she is unable to leave her bedroom.

Trivia

  • The song playing on the game over screen is the popular Last Christmas, by the English duo Wham!, seemingly covered and slowed down.
