This is a short walkthrough for version 0.00 of Dream RPG, provided by the creator.

Start of the Game

Like most Yume Nikki fangames, the game starts out in the character's bedroom. They refuse to leave their room and they can step out on the balcony and look at their flower, which looks rather sad. Although they don't want to leave their room, there's a 1/5 chance of something special appearing in front of the door when you spawn in the room.

Go to desk to save, go to bed to dream.

Initial Dream

In the dream apartment, there are two paths. Going out the door the character normally refuses to go through leads into a library of sorts. In the first room there is a book on the floor that would bring the player to the end game if they defeated all the bosses; however, because the creator was unsure if they were going to work on the game in the future, version 0.00 of the game just gives you a shitty cop-out. Look forward to a proper ending sequence. To the left and right of the room is a room that corresponds to Effects and a room that corresponds to Nightmares; when you get and beat one, the book that corresponds to what you get and who you defeat spawns. You can use the Nightmare room as a marker on how many more Nightmares need to be defeated before accessing the ending.

Back in the dream bedroom, there's a second path that's a rainbow bridge on the protagonist's balcony. However, the dream version of their flower is angry and in their way.

eaten, the flower wants you to go away and gives you the Plant effect. Before talking to the flower again, go back to the dream apartment bed and heal yourself. The flower still refuses to get out of your way, so...

Skills
  • Photosynthesis: Healing move.

The Balcony Flower rechallenges you, except it now has the healing move that it gave you. However, it's entirely possible to beat it before it even uses Photosynthesis.

Afterward, the Balcony Flower fades away and will no longer stand in your way for future visits. You can then cross the rainbow bridge to the...

Nexus

In version 0.00, there is only a door that brings you back to the Nexus and one connection:
