Enter the top-right door in the Nexus. From the entrance, go left until you're stopped by a red umbrella, then go up and interact with the tiny tornado to your left.

Kemomimi/Animal Ears (ケモミミ)

Enter the top-left door in the Nexus. Go into the room south of the entrance. Take the path at the bottom-right corner of the room. Go south again where the path splits off then go right again. You should see a harisen on the ground between two tiny rooms. Interact with the harisen to get the effect.

Pocket Watch (カイチュウドケイ)

Appearance: Shiutsuki holds a pocket watch.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) The game screen cracks, freezing NPC movement.

Practical Uses: Can be used to evade chasers.

Enter the top-right door in the Nexus. Go north-east from the door and interact with the folder. In the teleport maze interact with the following folders: bottom-right, far-right, top-right, bottom-left and top-right. You should reach a platform with a folder that has a square black and pink icon. Interact with this folder to be teleported again. Go south-east from the folder and interact with the pocket watch on the ground.

Lightning Rod (ヒライシン)

Appearance: A lightning rod sticks out from the top of Shiutsuki's head.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) Shiutsuki sticks her arms out and is teleported back to the Nexus.

Practical Uses: Can be used to return to the Nexus faster.

Enter the middle-right door. Take the path at the bottom-left corner of the room and go south. When you reach a crossroads with a happy face on the ground, go left and interact with the white and red circle NPC. In the red and white world, go straight left then enter the first house you come across. This should take you to a room with three desks on each side. Step between the desks to be taken to an empty classroom.

Exit the classroom, go left and head downstairs through the doorway. Go down to the ground floor (hallway with a vending machine next to the stairs) then interact with the tape covering the doorway. Enter the north door at the very end of the hall. Interact with the bouquet of flowers to be teleported to a brightly colored area with white desks strung about.

After the start text disappears, you must go around the map and make every white desk disappear by interacting with them, all while evading the chaser (it's recommended that you leave the desk on the other side of the river for last). Once all the desks have been interacted with, you'll see some congratulatory text on screen before being sent to a rooftop. Interact with the girl on the rooftop to get the effect.

Cardkey (カードキー)

Passive Effect: Allow Shiutsuki to access restricted areas.

You should come to a dead-end with a white arrow pointing to a tile in the middle of the platform. Step onto this tile and press the interact key to get the effect.

Leaf (ワカバ)

Enter the top-left door. Go into the room south of the entrance. Take the path at in the middle of the south wall in this room then go right and down again to a longer vertical room. Cross the path at the bottom-left corner of this room then go left once more. You should see a doorway to your left between two snowmen; enter this doorway then exit the room to reach a snow-covered world. Go south-east from where you enter the interact with the bright green sapling sprouting from the ground.

Cocoa (ココア)

Appearance: Shiutsuki has a cup of cocoa for a head.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) Steam wafts up from the cup.

Enter the bottom-left door. Go north-west from the entrance and interact with the cup of cocoa on the ground.

Danpatsu/Bobbed Hair (ダンパツ)

Appearance: Shiutsuki has a bobbed hairstyle.

Practical Uses: None.

Enter the middle-left door. Go south-west from the door and enter the gray building. Inside the building, go right then take the first path going down. Keep going down until you hit a wall, then go right, down and left again so that you hit another wall. Go up, take the narrow path path on the left and interact with the dark gray cube door.

You'll now be in a dark gray hall with three different doors. Enter the white doorway to your left then enter the gray door furthest to the left. Enter the next white doorway in the middle then enter the door to the left. Go up and interact with the guillotine in the middle of the room to get the effect.

OR

Enter the top-right door. Go north-east from the door and interact with the folder. In the teleport maze pick the bottom-right folder, then the one at the bottom, then the one at the bottom-right, then the top-left folder and finally the folder in the middle. You should now be on a small vertical platform running parallel to another small platform. Make your way onto the platform by interacting with the folder above you then interact with the folder with the green icon.

In the chalk drawing world, go north-east and enter the green door. In the gray hallway area, enter the closed door on the left. Enter the door furthest to the left (under the square sign) then enter the second door to the right (to the right of the diamond sign). Enter the door on the left then go through the doorway in the middle. Enter the door to the left of the exclamation point sign then go up and interact with the guillotine in the middle of the room.

Cube (キューブ)

Appearance: Shiutsuki has a light gray cube for a head.

Action: (Shift) A face appears on the cube.

Practical Uses: None.

Enter the bottom-left door. Go south-east from the entrance and enter the wooden sliding door. In the winding hallway go left, up, take the first left, up, left, down and left. You should now be near some stairs; go down the stairs. Exit the arcade through the beige path at the bottom-left corner of the area.

Go left along the road to an aquarium area. Go down three tanks then go left and step on the flashing white tile. You'll now be in a maze littered with lasers that will shoot you if you cross their path. Go up two rooms, left four rooms then up one room. Interact with the cube on the ground to get the effect.

Stick (figure) (ボウニンゲン)

Appearance: Shiutsuki becomes a pink stick figure.

Passive Effect: None.

Enter the top-left door in the Nexus. Go into the room south of the entrance. Take the path at the bottom-right corner of the room. Go south again where the path splits off then go right and enter the long south room. Take the path at the bottom-right of the hall-like room then go down and left along the nearly invisible path. Enter the door at the end of this path.

You'll now be in a room where each object is represent by a kanji symbol. Head down from the door into the room with a room with kanji for "grass" and "tree" (草 and 木 respectively) then go left. Take the path on the left and keep going left until you hit a wall. Go down and left again into a room with purple kanji for "dream" (夢) on the ground. The room above has a stick figure walking around (near the "water" (水) kanji). Interact with the stick figure to get the effect.

Headset (ヘッドセット)

Practical Uses: None.

Enter the top-right door. Go north-east from the door and interact with the folder. In the teleport maze pick the bottom-right folder, then the one at the bottom, then the one at the bottom-right, then the top-left folder and finally the folder in the middle. You should now be on a small vertical platform running parallel to another small platform. Make your way onto the platform by interacting with the folder above you then interact with the folder with the green icon.

You'll now be in a world with chalk drawings on the ground. Go south-east and interact with the slanted white chalk that has red and blue arrows pointing to it. In the rhythm game maze, go north from the place you was spawned until you reach the wall, then go right by the path and interact with the headset in the end of it.

OR

Enter the bottom-left door. Go south-east from the entrance and enter the wooden sliding door. In the winding hallway go left, up, take the first left, up, left, down and left. You should now be near some stairs; go down the stairs. In the arcade area, go north-east and interact with the arcade machine displaying a flickering pink arrow on screen.

You'll now be in a maze consisting of various brightly colored arrows. From where you enter go down, left, second path going up, left, up and right. You should come to a dead-end with a headset on the ground. Interact with the headset to get the effect.

Tiara (ティアラ)

Appearance: Shiutsuki wears a black tiara.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) The tiara on Shiutsuki's head changes from a black one to a gold one.

Enter the bottom-right door. From the entrance go right then head down the second path going south. Take the first path on the right then go up and right again. You should arrive at a dead-end with a black tiara floating between some crosses. Interact with the tiara.

Keep going right until you see two gray hexagons on the ground at a dead-end. Walk between them to be teleported to a new area. Go north-west and take the top-left path that leads off-screen.

Interact with the door on the ground. You'll now be in a sideways world with bright green, blue and purple walls. Go north-east and cross the bridge. Once you're on the other side of the bridge, go up and follow the wall to your right. Go right through the gap between the walls then go down when you hit a wall. When you reach another fork in the path, go down until you hit a wall then turn the corner on the left. Take the first path on the left with a blue section and interact with the spinning object. You'll now be in a world with ice-cream. Go south-west from where you arrive and go down the ladder in the hole.

Go left from the bottom of the ladder and you'll be in a station area with multiple rooms. Go left twice to a room with round gray and yellow tiles and interact with the vent at the bottom-left corner. Go down and right to a room with a window to space in the floor, then go down into a room with diamond gray and teal tiles and interact with the vent at the top-left corner. Interact with the sunglasses next to the panel.

Enter the top-left door. Go into the room south of the entrance. Take the path at in the middle of the south wall in this room then go right and down again to a longer vertical room. Cross the path at the bottom-left corner of this room then go left once more. You should see a doorway to your left between two snowmen; enter this doorway then exit the room to reach a snow-covered world. Go south-west from the exit and go down the stairs next to the trees.

You'll now be in a dungeon area. Walk right along the wall below you then go down between the walls. Take the path to your right and follow it off-screen. You should now be in a black and white hallway with an emoticon face on the wall. Go right again and you'll now be in a yellow hallway with a red carpet. Head right and you'll be at a crossroads, take the path on the right and follow it to a two-way fork in the path. Go down then go left between the two blue star statues. Interact with the microphone and you'll be sent to a stage. Stand behind the microphone on the stage and interact with it to get the effect.

Lead (ナマリ)

Appearance: Shiutsuki becomes made of lead.

Passive Effect: Shiutsuki's walking speed decreases.

Action: None.

Practical Uses: None.

Enter the bottom-right door. From the world's entrance, go left and take the first path going down. When you reach another fork in the path, go down and take the first path on the right. Keep going right until you see two gray hexagons on the ground at a dead-end. Walk between them to be teleported to a new area. Go north-west and take the top-left path that leads off-screen.

Interact with the door on the ground. You'll now be in a sideways world with bright green, blue and purple walls. Go north-east and cross the bridge. Once you're on the other side of the bridge, go north-west and enter the doorway with a bright green outline. Step between the barber poles to be brought to another maze of halls. Go right until you hit a wall then go down. Take the first path going right then go up when you hit a wall. You should see a doorway with a dark red outline to your right; enter the doorway then interact with the pink object at the top of the room.

Naruko (ナルコ)

Appearance: Shiutsuki holds a pill in each hand.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Shift) Shiutsuki waves her right arm.

Practical Uses: None.

Enter the green door at the bottom-right of the Nexus. Go south-west from the door and enter the manhole. In the monochrome room, make your way downwards/south-east from the rope and enter the black doorway at one of the dead-ends. In the striped blue hallway go up past the numbered barriers to the other side. The barriers you choose to go through don't matter with the exception of the fourth one; going through the -1 barrier on the left will force Shiutsuki awake, so you must go through the ÷1 barrier on the right to progress.

In the sushi room, go up three blocks then go left and interact with the fast-moving sushi. Exit the room then go south-east in the town area and go up the stairs between the cherry blossom trees. On the other side, go up and interact with the two pink objects on the ground.

Stella (ステラ)

Appearance: Shiutsuki turns lighter and has a yellow star in her hair.

Passive Effect: Shiutsuki's walking speed increases.

Action: (Shift) Shiutsuki winks.

Practical Uses: Used to travel through the dream world faster.

Enter the green door at the bottom-right of the Nexus. Go south-west from the door and enter the manhole. In the monochrome room, make your way downwards/south-west from the rope and interact with the pink orb. In the soundwave room, go north-east and interact with the blue orb. In the maze with the blue crystal background go up from the orb then go right, down, right again then up and interact with the flashing star with a blue ring behind it.

Pencil (エンピツ)

Appearance: Shiutsuki has a giant green pencil on her back.

Enter the white door at the top-left of the Nexus. Go south from the door until you’re stopped by a light blue ball, then go left and interact with the black and white hexagon. Go to the top-left corner of the orange maze and walk left through the wall where the arrow on the ground is pointing.

You'll arrive in a large black and blue room with paintings on the wall. Go left so that you’re next to a wall, then go up. Take the second path going left (under a painting made of corner lines. You should come across a gap in one of the walls (indicated by a gap between the cyan lines framing the walls). Go down this gap then step onto the flickering painting at the bottom.

You’ll now be in a maze with green and white tiles and light gray orbs blocking certain paths. Go up then cross the grey path going right. On the yellow tile path, make your way to the bottom-right corner of this maze section then go down to the red-tile section. At a dead-end near the bottom-middle part of this area is a green pencil that will give you the effect when interacted with.

Blindfold (メセン)

Appearance: Shiutsuki wears a blindfold over her eyes.

Passive Effect: The blindfold changes color as Shiutsuki walks around.

Action: None.

Practical Uses: None.

(Pocket Watch or Shadow effect is needed.)

Enter the black door to the right of the Nexus. Take the path directly north of the entrance until you hit a wall. Go right a bit then go north again, keeping to the right of the two yellow down arrow signs. You should come to a dead-end with a white doorway. Enter this doorway to be brought to a brightly-colored tile path. Equip and activate the Pocket Watch or Shadow to prevent the chaser from following you then go north. Go south on the I-shaped platform to the つ-shaped platform then to south again and enter the doorway at the end of the narrow path.

In the red area, go north-east and walk between the blue statues. In the blue area, go a few steps right then down and interact with the spinning purple gem. In the forest area, go northwards and enter the tall gray building at the end of one of the pink-leaf paths. On the rooftops area, make your way east and enter the small building at a dead-end building with blue windows. This should take you to a gray street. Go right and enter the train on the other side. Walk through the train doors with blue arrows pointing down on the ground. In the area with a black and neon tile background, make your way south-east and interact with the spinning ball wearing a blindfold.

Events


Sound Room

A sound room can be accessed through the white machine on the floor of Shiutsuki's dream bedroom. You can use this room to listen to the game's soundtrack and find basic information on the tracks. More tracks and pages will unlock as you progress through the game; additional pages can be visited by stepping over the arrows on the right side of the room and pressing the interact key.

Dream Ladder

If you sleep in the bed in Shiutsuki's dream bedroom, there's a random chance you'll be sent to a room with a ladder on the other side placed against a dark background that intermittently flashes static. Successfully making your way to the ladder will play a short cutscene that ends with Shiutsuki waking up.

(not) Minesweeper

Enter the top-right door. Go north-east from the door and interact with the folder. Select the following folders in the teleport maze: bottom-right, far-right and top-left. You should be sent to a long vertical platform with a red flag icon at the bottom. Interact with this icon twice for a mini event; Shiutsuki will be woken up after this event occurs.

Endings


(Note: Keeping a backup save is recommended if you still want to play around with effects, as both endings require getting rid of all effects for good.)

Ending 1

There are two conditions that need to be met before unlocking either ending:

  1. All effects must be obtained.
  2. A certain NPC must be found.

To find this NPC, enter the bottom-left door then enter the sliding wood door south-east from the entrance. In the winding hallway go left, up, take the first left, up, left, down and left. You should now be near some stairs; go down the stairs then exit the arcade at the top-left corner. In the library, go upwards to the northernmost wall of the library where ladders are propped up against the bookcases. The second ladder to the right of the left-side wall takes you to the room where the NPC is.

Once both requirements have been fulfilled, the door in Shiutsuki's dream bedroom will be open. Go through the door then interact with the recycle bin in the corner to drop your effects. Interact with the recycle bin again and select the first option from the dialogue box to get rid of your effects. Wake up and go to the balcony. Exit the balcony by following the arrow then walk right at the next area. After the cutscene, interact with the door in the bedroom to watch the credits.

Ending 2

(One of the cutscenes in this ending sequence contains (mild) flashing images.)

The unlock requirements for this ending are the same as Ending 1. After getting rid of the effects, instead of waking up, head back to the Nexus. Enter the middle-right door. Take the north path above the entrance and keep going north (and slightly right) until you reach a dead-end with a white doorway. Enter this doorway to be brought to a brightly-colored tile path. Go north then right twice onto the U-shaped path and interact with the floating object moving around on it to reach a gray maze area.

Go eastwards into the maze from where you arrive and look for a dead-end with two white triangles. Walk between these triangles to a space area. Cross the bridge south of you then go down again. Take the path on the right and keep going right and then down. You should come to a dead-end with a white arrow pointing to a tile in the middle of the platform. Step onto this tile and press the interact key to trigger a cutscene. After the cutscene, go to the balcony, follow the arrow off the balcony and go right in the ocean area to activate another cutscene. Interact with the bedroom door after the cutscene ends to watch the credits. The game window will close on its own after the credits end.
