Overview

Botaniki is a 3D English Yume Nikki fangame developed by FeverDev in Unity. The game is in an early stage of development, though has an ending.

Gameplay

Botaniki plays similarly to a traditional fangame, with the goal centering on exploration and the obtainment of Relics to unlock the ending. The player can save by interacting with the computer in the bedroom, while sleeping in the bed takes the player to the dream world Nexus.

You can jump off both sides of the nexus to enter different worlds, or you can backtrack to the door you came into to enter a Nighttime/limbo version of the world outside Ouiki's apartment. That path leads to an entrance to the school.

There is a danger in Botaniki which can be avoided easily if you dash out of sight the moment it sees you.

Plot

You play as Ouiki and explore her dreams; uncover the dark world she lives in and has created for herself. There are many worlds to explore, and a handful of characters to meet.

Upon reading something called "God's Promise," it seems Ouiki has written an interesting bit of information:

"My life has been filled with things I don't understand. Praying has given me an answer on how to reclaim my mind, but I'm running out of time..."

The further you progress in Botaniki, the outside world -which you can see through a few windows- changes.

Effects

There are 4 effects in the game. These are separate from the relics, and do not appear to effect the ending, although one of them does open up one secret area, and also allows for exploration in pitch black areas of the game.
