Effects Guide


Bike

Appearance: Bokehme rides a bike.

Passive Effect: Bokehme's speed is doubled.

Action: None.

Location: Found in the Street.

Practical Uses: Used to navigate the dream world much faster.

Enter the grey door in the nexus. In the Street, interact with the bicycle next to the door.

Camera

Appearance: Bokehme holds a camera.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Q) Bokehme takes a photo, causing the screen to flash.

Location: Found in the Libary.

Practical Uses: Allows Bokehme to collect certain photos which can be viewed in the main menu.

Enter the blue door in the nexus to get to the Library. Pick up the camera in front of Bokehme.

Mask

Appearance: Bokehme wears a mask.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Q) The mask changes along with Bokehme's emotional state.

Location: Found in the Library.

Practical Uses: Used to change Bokehme's emotional state, which can affect the dream wold.

From the blue door in the Library, head south until you reach the end the bottom, then go west. Pick up the doll that resembles Bokehme's head with a mask.

Coat

Appearance: Bokehme wears a yellow raincoat.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Q) Rain begins to fall.

Location: Found in the Sketch Jail.

Practical Uses: None.

In the library, head west and a bit north from the blue door. Interact with the small elevator. In the new area, head south, east, then north. Interact with the red eye. Go southeast. In the hallway, head down the first doorway on the bottom and pick up the doll.

Demon

Appearance: Bokehme transforms into a purple demon.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Q) Bokehme roars.

Location: Found in the Trippy Cave.

Practical Uses: None.

In the library, head west and a bit north from the blue door. Interact with the small elevator. In the new area, head south and then east. Keep going east until you see a bookshelf with two empty columns that Bokehme can climb up. Go up the left one and interact with the red eye. Then, head left to leave the room. Go right and interact with the white object at the bottom. In the Trippy Cave, head south and take the south path when the path splits. Keep following the path until you see another fork. Go north this time and interact with the red demon.

Drum

Appearance: Bokehme's head is replaced with a drum.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Q) The drum beats, shaking the screen and moving Bokehme in a random direction.

Location: Found in a maze room.

Practical Uses: None.

In the library, head west and a bit north from the blue door. Interact with the small elevator. In the new area, head south and then east. Keep going east until you see a bookshelf with two empty columns that Bokehme can climb up. Go up the left one and interact with the red eye. Then, head left to leave the room. Go down, down, right, down. Pick up the drum in the room.

Shadow

Appearance: Bokehme becomes a shadow.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Q) The shadow inverts between black and white.

Location: Found in the Hostile area.

Practical Uses: None.

Having the Bike effect is recommended.

Enter the bottom right door in the nexus. Head north and take the second path to the right. Then go north and interact with the white teleporter. Go south to the next teleporter. Keep going east for quite some time. After teleporting, leave the hospital room to the right. There's a chaser here, so equip the bike effect. Additionally, opening the menu does not pause the game, so bear that in mind. Go right, up, and left. Keep left and then go down to the bottom. Go right, avoiding the chaser, as it will take Bokehme to an inescapable area if caught. Keep right, then up and interact with the doorway. Go up the stairs and pick up the white doll.

Squid

Appearance: Bokehme becomes a squid person.

Passive Effect: Bokehme can walk in shallow water.

Action: None.

Location: Found on the Beach.

Practical Uses: Allows Bokehme to access new areas.

Enter the bottom left door of the nexus. Head northeast and enter a doorway with a red light. Go north, then east. On the next screen, go north. Go west of the beach to find the effect.

Wired

Appearance: Bokehme wears white clothes and is covered in wires.

Passive Effect: None.

Action: (Q) The screen turns white and Bokehme warps to the nexus.

Location: Found in the net rooms.

Practical Uses: Used to warp back to the nexus.

Enter the bottom left door of the nexus. Head northwest and enter a teal doorway. Go north three times and you'll reach a more open room with three tables near a teal doll covered in wires. Collect it for the effect.

In the library, head west and a bit north from the blue door. Interact with the small elevator. In the new area, head south and then east. Keep going east until you see a bookshelf with two empty columns that Bokehme can climb up. Go up the left one and interact with the red eye. Then, head left to leave the room.

From the grey door in the Street, head left and go under the garage door. Follow the subway tracks right for a bit. In the suburbs, go right and enter the large building at the end. At the top, interact with the cracks near a doorway. This next area is is pretty linear, so continue going up stairs and past a few screens until you get to the top to take a picture.

Enter the bottom right door in the nexus. Head north and take the second path to the right. Then go north and interact with the white teleporter. Go south to the next teleporter. Keep going east for quite some time. Take a photo in the hospital room.

Photo 4

Enter the bottom left door of the nexus. Head northeast and enter a doorway with a red light. Go right twice, then follow the path down. Continue the path and go south when it splits, then north at the next split, then east. Enter the red door and continue right. Enter the door and take a photo.

You will need the Squid effect to obtain this photo.

Enter the bottom left door of the nexus. Head northeast and enter a doorway with a red light. Go right twice, then follow the path down. Continue the path and go south when it splits, then north at the next split, then east. Enter the red door and continue right. On the boardwalk, go east and down a ladder. Keep east until you see two piers. Equip the squid effect and go south down a path of shallow water. Down the ladder, navigate the underwater area, heading mostly southeast. Find and interact with a tendril with a white outline. Go east. Head southeast here as well. You'll see a camera spot in the next side-scrolling area.

Events


Hangman Event

From the grey door in the Street, head left and go under the garage door. Follow the subway tracks right for a bit. In the suburbs, go right and enter the large building at the end. Enter the doorway at the top. Bokehme's movement is now slowed, interact with the man in the room for the event. This will display a message onscreen that can be deciphered to read "You are responsible". This will also result in Bokehme waking up.

Hole Jump Event

This event can only be triggered on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Enter the bottom right door in the nexus. Head north, then east, then south. Interact with the cat statue. Go right and then up to a more open area. Go north past the line of NPCs on each side. Interact with the white teleporter. Here, you'll see a line of NPCs jumping into a hole. If you walk in front of the stone object, Guards will seize Bokehme and make her jump in the hole, waking her up.
