Overview
Press Play is a Yume Nikki fangame created by SunMeltPD in RPG Maker VX Ace. It was initially developed as an entry for Dream Diary Jam 2, but was released as a seperate title past the jam's deadline.
Gameplay
Press Play plays like a traditional fangame. Rather than a typical Nexus, you enter the main world by inserting the tape into the VCR. From there, your main goal is to explore. You save your progress by interacting with the recorder on the desk.
One unique feature of this game is the ability to skip to certain areas by pressing S. You can also collect coins throughout the different areas, which can be used to purchase items.
Plot
You play as Simi, who's stuck in a monotonous loop of his life. He has to explore the world around him to break out of the cycle.
