Overview
Tec is a Yume Nikki fangame, contary to popular belief, is actually the first game by Japanese creator Xom. It is one of the few fangames created with RPG Maker XP, as opposed to 2000 or 2003. Its primary motif seems to be technology, hence the title, title screen's modern design, and Funetsuki (ふねつき) 's modern bedroom computer.
Gameplay
In Tec, instead of the bed, Funetsuki opens her dresser/cabinet to enter the dream world.
Many of the doorways to other maps in the game are pieces of coral-like structure which come in a variety of colors. A lot of traveling is done one way; i.e., often the player cannot go back in the direction they came from.
Plot
Tec has many themes of tecnology, and what seems to be the future, in one part there is a musuem-like area with Takashi 's effects and even a stature of him (This was before Older was released). Older seems to be the prequil of Tec, with some worlds similar to Tec, and expands further on Funetsuki and Takashi's relationship/backstory.
