Hood
Cover me head, speed up bad.
Appearance: Aruben's hood is pulled up, covering his face.
Passive Effect: Aruben's movement speed increases.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the Trash area.
Practical Uses: Can be used to travel through the dream world a lot faster and evade enemies.
From the nexus, go north to enter the Snow world. There, go right until you reach the end of the line of trees, then go north and interact with a trash bag on the ground. For this puzzle, go down, down, down, right, down, right, up, down, up, up. In the last room, interact with the marking on the wall.
Smile
Make me smile, leave sb. off.
Appearance: Aruben wears a creepy mask and a red jacket.
Passive Effect: Certain NPCs will avoid Aruben.
Action: None.
Location: Found in a house in the Smiling world.
Practical Uses: Allows Aruben to scare certain NPCs and gain access to certain areas/events
From the nexus, enter the white door on the left. In the Mask world, head south until you see a line of masks and then turn right. Follow the line of masks until it ends, then go north until you see a door to the right. Enter the door. On the new screen, keep going right to enter the Smiling world. There, go down until you hit a red sun and go right until you see another sun, then go up into house. Go down the ladder and interact with the stick figure at the bottom.
Toybox
Put up toy, spin around.
Appearance: Aruben holds a toybox.
Passive Effect: Once obtained, dolls now appear in the dreamworld for Aruben to collect, regardless of which effect is equipped.
Action: (Shift) Aruben takes out a doll that's been collected and places it on his head.
Location: Found in the Toy world.
Practical Uses: Aruben can collect dolls that are added to the fangame reference rooms.
In the nexus, enter the door on the right.In the Toy world, go north until you see a rubber duck, then turn right. Interact with the small box surrounded by toys.
Old Man
Me older now before.
Appearance: Aruben becomes old and holds a cane.
Passive Effect: Aruben's speed decreases.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the FC world.
Practical Uses: None.
In the Toy world, go north of the door and and interact with a string surrounded by pillars while looking up. Then, go northwest a little bit (more north than west) until you see a hole with a ladder between 2 small stick characters. Go down the hole and enter the door at the bottom, In the FC world, go up the ladder. Head right 2 screens and down 5 and walk to the stairs. In the new area, go up 2 screens and right 1. Enter the cave and keep going a couple screens north and pick up the bones on the floor.
Tiger
AAAAAAAAW
Appearance: Aruben becomes a tiger.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in a cave.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the Snow world and head left until you reach the end of the line of trees, then go south. After you pass by a tree with red fabric tied to it, walk over to a stump just below it, and continue south and walk between two trees. Head north. In the greener area, go northwest and enter a dead tree surrounded by other trees. Go up the narrow passage. Then, keep northeast and you'll eventually find the end of the cave. You'll find yourself in a small room. Interact with the object in the center.
Snowball
Turn me snowman, make a snow.
Appearance: Aruben transforms into a snowman.
Passive Effect: Causes snow to fall.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the Snow world.
Practical Uses: None.
Starting in the Snow world, go left until you reach the end of the line of trees, then go south and interact with the tree with red fabric tied to it. This randomly changes the speed of the wind and loads a new area that doesn't loop up and down. If the wind dies down, go north and interact with the character from either side to get them to look at you. If the wind is still blowing, interact with the fabric and try again until the wind stops in the new area. After the NPC has looked away, go back down and interact with the fabric until the wind is still blowing in the new area. If so, head north and interact with the snowman.
Sign
Insert the sign, record something.
Appearance: Aruben's head becomes a wooden sign.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Place a sign and set a message.
Location: Found in the Sign area.
Practical Uses: The sign can be used to mark areas and write notes. Only one sign can be placed at a time and creating a new sign will remove the previous one. Leaving the area will also remove the sign.
- Having the Smile effect is recommended to access a shortcut.
- Having the Hood effect for the Plant maze is recommended to outrun NPCs.
If you have the Smile effect, go to the Smiling world and head south until you reach a red sun. Equip the Smile effect, This will cause a change in the environment and cause a pink flower to appear a bit to the right of the sun. Interact with it to get to the Plant maze. Equip the Hood effect to outrun scarecrow NPCs since they will teleport Aruben to an inescapable area if caught. Go right until you see a white plant and interact with it. In the new area, head northwest and you'll see pink arrows pointing to and object. Interact with it to get the effect.
If you don't have the Smile effect, enter the orange door from the nexus to get to the School world. Go right and follow the diagonal grass up and go left when you see a scarecrow. Interact with the faceless shape with a green outline to change the area. Head right and interact with the flower. In the plant maze, equip the Hood effect and go southeast until you see a white plant and interact with it. In the new area, head northwest and you'll see pink arrows pointing to and object. Interact with it to get the effect.
Dolls Guide
There are 39 dolls to collect based on Madotsuki and protagonists of other fangames. After each doll is obtained, they can be found in the fangame reference rooms by entering the toy box in the bottom left corner of the dream bedroom. The dolls and toy box in the dream bedroom will only appear after Aruben gets the Toybox effect.
- The Toybox effect is needed to collect the dolls.
Madotsuki (窓付き)
Found in the first area of the fangame reference rooms.
Urotsuki (うろつき)
Enter the Snow world. The doll is just to the right of the entrance.
Sabitsuki (さびつき)
Found just outside the building in the Mask world. Refer to the Building Event to find it.
Usotsuki (うそつき)
Found southeast of where the Sign effect is obtained.
Nagatsuki (永付き)
In the Smiling world, go right until you see a group of two houses. Enter the house on the left.
Yomika (よみか)
Found in one of the dead ends of the cave where you find the Tiger effect.

Found in the same room as the Tiger effect next to the dresser.

From the door in the Toy world, go right. The doll is in the middle of a X formation.
Tatsuki (たつき)
Found at the end of the hall on the third floor of the Mask world building.
Lefia
In the green area after the Snow world, head northeast and you'll see a group of trees. The doll is in the center of the trees.
Sometsuki (そめつき)
In the green area after the Snow world, go south. The doll is next to a light grey object.
Naoto
- Having the Hood effect is recommended.
Enter the orange door from the nexus to get to the School world. Go right and follow the diagonal grass up and go left when you see a scarecrow. Interact with the faceless shape with a green outline to change the area. Head right and interact with the flower. Equip the Hood effect. Go down a couple of rows, then turn right,avoiding the scarecrows until you see a plant with a more minimalist design. Interact with it to be taken to a new area and head southeast and you'll see a group of three grey shapes. The doll is next to the one on the right and blends in a bit, making it hard to see.
Qiu Qin (秋琴)
In the Smiling world, head south until you see a red sun and turn right. The doll is next to a smiling head.
Itsuki
- Having the Hood effect is recommended.
From the door in the School world, Go right and follow the diagonal grass up and go left when you see a scarecrow. Interact with the faceless shape with a green outline to change the area. Head right and interact with the flower. Equip the Hood effect. Go southeast, avoiding the scarecrows and you should see the doll.
Kikei (畸形子)
Found just northwest of where the Snowball effect is obtained.
Aitsuki (あいつき)
From the door in the School world, Go right and follow the diagonal grass up until you see the doll next to an overturned chair.
Hirosae (広冴え)
Found in the same room as the Smile effect.
Soutarou (宗太郎)
From the door in the Mask world, head northeast. The doll can be found in the center of a mass of masks.
Suzutsuki (すずつき)
In the Smiling world, head south until you see a group of three green objects. The doll is by the center object.
Conrad
In the FC overworld, head right 2 screens and down 5 and walk to the stairs. Here, go right 1 screen and up 1 and walk up to the stairs. The doll is in the top left corner of the new area.
Kodama (こだま)
Found in the same room as the Hood effect.
Ying Zi (影子)
In the Toy world, go north of the door and and interact with a string surrounded by pillars while looking up. Then, go southwest and you'll see a group of armless NPCs. The doll is next to the NPC with no head.
Nire (にれ)
Enter the Snow world and head left until you reach the end of the line of trees, then go south quite a bit. The doll is next to a tree stump.
Yakitsuki (やきつき)
On the second floor of the Mask world building, enter the first door along the wall.
Alexei
Found in the same area as the Old Man effect.
Corbin
Found in one of the dead ends of the cave where you find the Tiger effect.
Sewa
Enter the mask with a doorway in the Mask world. Refer to the Smile Effect section to find it.
yukiko
Enter the trash bag in the Snow world.
Geoff
In the FC world, go right 2 screens, down 4, right 1, then up 1. The doll is on the left side.
Sumitsuki (附墨子)
In the Toy world, go north of the door and and interact with a string surrounded by pillars while looking up. Then, head right. The doll is at the base of a group of pillars,
Mayu
Enter the trash bag in the Snow world, then go down, down, down, right, right.
Musubitsuki (結びつき)
In the FC overworld, head right 2 screens and down 5 and walk to the stairs. Here, go right 2 screens and walk over to the stairs. The doll is in the top left corner of the new area.
Nozomi
In the Smiling world, go right until you see a group of three houses. Enter the rightmost house.
Cathy
Enter the Snow world and head left until you reach the end of the line of trees, then go south. After you pass by a tree with red fabric tied to it, walk over to a stump just below it, and continue south and walk between two trees.The doll is near the end of this path on the left.
Gizatsuki
In the green area after the Snow world, head left and you'll see a group of trees. The doll is in the center of the trees.
Hizashi
In the Mask world building, enter the first door along the wall.
Zakurotsuki (附石榴)
In the school world, head north of the door and follow a diagonal line of grass. Above where it ends, there is an overturned desk with the doll next to it.
Aiko (附爱子)
From the door in the Toy world, go left. When you see a group of castles, go northwest. The doll is in the middle of a heart shape.
Pale
Enter the trash bag in the Snow world, then go down, down, down, right, down, right, up, down.
Events
Building Event
- The Smile effect is needed for this event.
In the Mask world, go left and continue down a line of masks. When it ends, go north and enter the building. Continue right down the hallway and go up each floor until you see an NPC blocking the entrance. Equip the Smile effect and interact with it to scare it away. Enter the doorway and continue down the hall. In the next room, interact with the NPC.
