This section will help you to find those sneaky effects such as the Chains effect that you may have trouble finding.
Soutarou's Effects
Centipede (ムカデ)
Enter the Board World. Go north-west and step between the two plants in front of the board. Go north-west again and interact with the insect.
Brass Knuckles (メリケンサック)
Enter the Rainwater World. Find and interact with the green blob NPC. Go north-east and enter the doorway. Go right and sit on the bench when it has blue paint stains on it (if no paint stains are on it, leave the screen then come back until it does).
This'll teleport you to a park area. Go right and up and interact with the shadowy NPC sitting on a bench.
Black Hair (くろかみ)
Enter the Door World. Go left and up, enter the gray door. Head down then right to the Monochrome Island. Go north and enter the building. Go north-west and through the door frame. Go right until you're inside a building. Go right and enter the manhole.
Enter the door to your right. Go: [Up, Left and Up twice]. Interact with the glass door then leave the room.
Both Hands (りょうて)
Enter the Board World. Go north-west and step between the two plants in front of the board. Go left and interact with the leaf. Go south-east and interact with the floating NPC. Go up a bit and left. Go between the floating squares. Leave the room and go north through the doorway. Interact with the hands.
Western Toilet (ようしきトイレ)
Enter the Inorganic World. Go down and left from the door. Interact with the scarecrow. Enter the pink building. Enter the door on the left. Go left again and enter the men's bathroom. Interact with the toilet stall furthest to the left.
Envelope (ふうとう)
Enter the Door World. Go left and up, enter the gray door. Head down then right to the Monochrome Island. Go north and enter the building. Go north-west and through the door frame. Go right until you see an NPC in front of the railings. Interact with them.
From where you're teleported, go right and follow the train tracks. Go right until you reach a room with a table. Interact with the table.
Pattern (もよう)
Enter the Door World. Go left and up, enter the gray door. Head down then right to the Monochrome Island. Go north and enter the building. Go up a bit and right and interact with the colorful pattern on the ground.
Tape (テープ)
Sleep on the couch in your dream bedroom until you're teleported to another room. Go through the door behind you. Go up and interact with the bloody cross on the wall.
Down Jacket (ダウンジャケット)
Enter the Door World. Go south-east and enter the purple-pink door. Go up to the next area. Go north-east and go between the two rows of metal rods. Go down and through the archway. Interact with the mannequin in the window.
Chain (くさり)
- You need the Brass Knuckles effect first.
Enter the Black Stone World. Find and interact with the blue blob NPC. From where you're teleported go: [Up, Right, Right and Up]. Use the Brass Knuckles on the crack in the wall. Go left through the pathway then go through the doorway.
In the snowy area, go north-west and between the two sets of steel bars. Interact with the large shadow.
Picture Frame (がくぶち)
Enter the Rainwater World. Go left and enter the ladder in the ground. Go south and enter the sliding doors. Go right and down the hallway. Go down the next hallway and enter the third open door. Go up and interact with the empty picture frame.
Black Cat (くろねこ)
Enter the Black Stone World. Find and interact with the gray cat, as showed in the video.
Distort (みだれ)
Enter the Inorganic World. Go right a little then go north. Interact with the beige ball. Enter the striped wall from the side. Enter the door to your left and interact with the TV. Go up and interact with the purple object. Leave the room and go right. Go up between the streetlamps until you're teleported. Interact with the grey object.
Corpse (どうたい)
- You need the Black Cat effect first.
Equip the Black Cat effect and enter the Iron Fence World. Go north-east and interact with the gate with an unlit lamp on it. Go left until you see an egg below you. Go down and interact with it. Go north-west and interact with the pile of flesh.
Case (ケース)
- You need 100 Yen first.
Enter the Black Stone World. Find and interact with the floating purple circles. Go left, down a bit then left again and go up the stairs. Go up as far as you can then left as far as you can. Interact with the machine beside the lamp post.
Katamari (かたまり)
Enter the Board World. Go north-west and step between the two plants in front of the board. Go left and interact with the leaf. Go north-east and interact with the jagged blue statue. Go left and enter the first door you see. Enter the second door you see. Interact with the black sludge in the corner.
Window (まど)
Enter the Rainwater World. Go north-west and interact with the green blob NPC. Go north and interact with the tiny white flower. Go north and interact with the walking window.
Events & Trivia

Waking Up
Most of the effects have a unique waking up action, try to find them all ! For example, if you have the Tape effect equipped, Soutarou looks like he is being taped until he disappear or, if he's in the child state of the Down Jacket effect, he'll falls on his knees.
What's also interesting is that the only time Soutarou will pinch his check like any other dreamer is when he has the Black Hair effect equipped.
Ringing phone
- Please note that you won't be able to witness this event if you have collected all effects.
In the dream room, sleep in the couch and wait until you hear a phone ringing. Then, check the drawer next to you ; a short cutscene will begin.
White Building
In the arcade, interact with the machine that has a white screen to trigger a little cutscene, showing what seems to be either a church or an hospital. It won't do anything once it's over, but the next time Soutarou sleeps, another cutscene of that same building will show up, waking him up immediatly.
The Arcade Chaser
In the second room of the same arcade, a blond-haired chaser can be found playing on a arcade machine. Trying to hit him with the Brass Knuckles - or to disturb him with several other effects - will result in him looking at Soutarou menacingly, revealing as well his hostile nature.
Glitching the Dream
- You need the Distort effect to perform this event.
While in the FC World, equip the Distort effect and press the action key. The screen will glitch, while a loud noise plays, before Soutarou wakes up.
Sewer Monster
Somewhere in the sewers - that are accessible by going into a hole in one of the prison's cells, a doorway will take you to platform surrounded by waste, where dwells a one-eyed green monster. If you dare interact with him, Soutarou will be submerged by him as soon as he tries to leave, forcing him to wake up.
The little girl in the Streets
By going between the two lampposts in the Case effect's area, you'll find yourself in a backstreet where a blonde little girl can be found. Most of the time, she'll be wandering, although there is a chance to find her sitting. If you re-enter this area again, there are odds that Soutarou will find her unconscious, apparently injured and probably dead - or dying. He'll head towards her and, desperate, finally falls on his knees before waking up.
Note that, when near this girl, Soutarou will refuse to equip any gruesome effects, like Centipede, Brass Knuckles or Case.
Mysterious girl in Gray World
Its something like Poniko/Uboa Event from Yume Nikki, to trigger this event, enter the Door World, find and enter in purple-pink door. Go up to the next area. In Gray World find the cabin/house with a big chair or even throne, enter in house (approximately 52 times) and leave repeatedly until girl that on a second appears the throne still sitting there, in that moment Soutarou can't leave her house since door is be locked, if Soutarou interact with this girl, first of she give him a cute smile, then creepy smile and then Soutarou will wake up.
Eye Box
- You need the Brass Knuckles effect to perform this event.
An event that is working the same way as the Eye Box event from Yume Nikki. Find the box located east on the Monochrome Island, equip the Brass Knuckles and interact with the object. Doing so has a chance to teleport you to a small room. Going into one of the doorways will only lead you to the other one, meaning that this room is a loop - you can verify it by using the Envelope effect. Interacting again with the box will bring you back to the Monochrome Island.
Endings Guide
END 1
To get this ending, you must have all effects without dropping them off in the Nexus, waking up, then opening the door. The screen will fade to black slowly, revealing a thank you message.
END 2
To get this ending, you must drop off all efects in the Nexus, wake up, then open the door. Soutarou will stop in place, stumble back from the door and pass out. The screen will fade to the Thank You screen, and will return to the title screen.
END 3
To get this ending, you must drop off all efects in the Nexus and open the white book in Soutarou's dream room. After opening the door, he will back up from the door and head toward his balcony. He will look over his balcony and jump off the broken part of his railing. After hearing him fall and splat on the road, the screen fades in to a bloody Soutarou breathing heavily. The girl sitting in the chair in the Grey World (Accessed from Door World) will approach him. The screen will cut to black, a bang sound heard. The screen fades in, showing Soutarou, sitting up with red and black eyes, over the girl, now knocked out or dead. Soutarou leans toward her, red, hellish-looking vines quickly sprouting out of the street, the Thank You message appearing with a loud noise.
END
To get this ending, you will use the same procedure as END 3, but after opening the book, go to The Field (This is the day/night area located in Forest World) and open the plain white door. When in the None Rooms, mess with the mirror until a new door is shown. Enter the door and interact with the ajar door. A new room will be shown with a book in the center. Open the book, wake up, and interact with the door. The cutscene will act like END 3, up until the girl approaches Soutarou with a spear. She will kill him from off-screen, fading in revealing a gaping cut in his head. The ending music will play, the screen slowly fading to white and going to the title screen without a message.
