Overview

Manda no Yume is a Yume Nikki fangame created by LaytonLoztew for the Dream Diary Jam. It stars a girl named Manda.

Gameplay

Manda no Yume is a traditional fangame. You enter the dream world by sleeping in the bed, from which you can explore the dream world and get effects. Using the laptop in the dream world allows you to change your menu. You save the game by interacting with the journal in your room while you're awake.

Unlike most fangames, there are two menu slots where you can equip an effect. You can combine effects which will give Manda either an unique ability or allow her to use both effects without switching.

Another unique feature of this game is a hint system in the form of a hidden NPC. If you find him, you'll be given small hints on the location of an effect.

Plot

You play as Manda as she explores her dreams. Not much else is known about the game's plot.

Spoon		Manda holds a spoon as a weapon. Pressing Z allows you to kill NPCs.
Jacket		Manda wears a jacket. Pressing A or S makes her stick her hand in her pockets.
Lamp		Manda has a lampshade for a head. Pressing A or S turns the light on, lighting up dark places.
Body Pillow		Manda becomes a body pillow. Pressing A or S will return her to the nexus.
Headphones		Manda wears headphones.
Bow		Manda wears a bow.
Key		Manda has a key in her back. This allows her to unlock doors with gold locks.
Matryoshka		Manda becomes a Matryoshka doll. Pressing A or S makes her small, allowing her to fit into smaller spaces.
Coin		Manda's head becomes a large coin. Pressing Z in front of a vending machine allows her to warp between vending machine locations. Pressing A makes the coin flip.
Cloak		Manda wears a cloak.
Sword		Manda carries a sword. Pressing Z allows you to kill NPCs.
Original		Manda wears a red bow and hair clips and a plain blue shirt.

Combo Effects

Spoon and Jacket		Manda carries a spoon while wearing a jacket. Pressing S will hide the spoon in her pockets and pressing Z will allow you to kill NPCs.
Lucky Coin		Manda has a coin with a hole in the middle for a head. Pressing A makes the coin flip.
Silver Key		Manda has a silver key in her back, allowing her to unlock doors with a silver lock.
Fur Coat		Manda wears a warm fur coat.
Golden Spoon		Manda holds a golden spoon as a weapon. Pressing Z allows you to kill NPCs.
Loud Speaker		Manda becomes a loud speaker.
Lightbulb		Manda becomes a lightbulb. Pressing A makes the lightbulb switch on, lighting up dark places.
Ceiling Fan		Manda turns into a ceiling fan.
Nurse		Manda wears a nurse's coat. Pressing A or S will return her to the city building rooftop.
Pink Gold Manda		Manda becomes an faceless, light pink version of herself.
