Overview

Melodia is a Yume Nikki fangame made by Sakura-Sun from Uboachan. Like most of the fangames in English, this game was made in RPG Maker 2003. Melodia, as the title suggests, is a music-themed game with a good (but not original) soundtrack. Unfortunately its graphics are not as well done as its music and it has less than a handful of worlds.

The game is still a beta, therefore chipsets and tilesets are borrowed from other games.

Gameplay

Before the game starts you view an event featuring 2 characters who look a lot like Analiese and Analiese herself, running in one place.

You enter Analiese's dreams by falling asleep in front of her TV, then she wakes up on her dream balcony. If you go back to her dream room from it, you will see a transparent figure of Ana sitting in front of the TV. The objective of Melodia is exploration and collecting effects. This process appears to be linear as the more Melodies you gather, the more door will appear at the game's "Nexus".

During its beta state, this game mainly borrowed the resources from Lcd Dem (by the date of release, version at the time should be 0.020).

Plot

You play as Analiese, a young girl whom locked herself up from the outside world, and wants nothing to do with it. Like Yume Nikki and all fangames, you explore your dreams, but instead of collecting effects, you collect (as ironic as it sounds) melodies, which remind her of the good times she had in the outside world.

Melodies

Instead of effects you collect melodies in this game. They are currently not playable or usable, therefore they cannot be defined as effects. Listed below are the collectable melodies and their correspondent descriptions, exactly as they appear in the game. (It appears that "Digital" and "Memory" got their descriptions messed up by mistake.)

  • Digital - A melody from when Ana was in music class.
  • Zen - A peaceful melody when your mom used to play.
  • Memory - A melody from a video game you used to play.
