Tec is the second game by Japanese creator Xom. It is one of the few fangames created with RPG Maker XP, as opposed to 2000 or 2003. Its primary motif seems to be technology, hence the title, title screen's modern design, and the protgaonist's modern bedroom computer.
Many of the doorways to other maps in the game are pieces of coral-like structure which come in a variety of colors. A lot of traveling is done one way; i.e., often the player cannot go back in the direction they came from.
