OK, just want to say another thing and retcon my original statement.
After taking a while to actually play the game and not just stumble around the nexus doors, I found this game was brilliant. The graphics match togeter well, and each effect has a slight purpose or action to it. It had a lot more charm than I expected, and I would like to apologize for my misinformation.
One of my favorite areas was the black block area with the orange water, it really fits together well.
