The game takes place over the course of 10 days (9 nights).
Day Phase
During each day phase, exit the house and walk right to enter the office. Go to the computer in the empty cubicle and press SPACE to use it. The computer has two programs, an email client and and a data extraction client called DataWiz. The email client is where you receive your daily evaluations from your boss. Check that if you want and then open DataWiz. An image with text will appear. Type the text into the texbox and hit submit. The game will progress whether you get it right or wrong, but the accuracy will affect your evaluations. After you enter text for three images, you can go home and go to the bed to sleep.
Night Phase
During the night phase, you wander various dream worlds until you find a previously-unvisited bed. Then you wake up and can start the next day. You can also wake up by sleeping in a bed you had really slept in, or by pressing "Q", but you will wake up in the middle of the night and cannot progress to the next day.
Beds
There are 9 beds with unique appearances scattered throughout the dream worlds. Once a bed has been slept in, it will appear gray in later dreams.
Space
Available from Night 1
From the nexus, enter the space door. From the space area, walk northeast past the Earth and Moon. to find a bed with a star on it.
Candy
Available from Night 2
From the nexus, enter the red and white candy door. The bed is to the right of the candy cane rows.
Office
Available from Night 2
Enter the gray door with the red, green, and blue boxes. Navigate the increasingly-chaotic path of computers and keep east at the fork. Sleep in the bed with a computer on its sheets.
Maze
Available from Night 2
Same as with "Office", but go south at the fork. Enter the door with the graph maze pattern. You have just entered the graph maze. The bed is near the center of the maze, and you start near the southwest corner, so head northeast to the area of the maze with no diagonal walls. Sleep in the bed with a graph pattern.
Walk the Path
Available from Night 2
Get to the maze again. Find the purple and green door in the northeastern corner of the maze. It may be faster to get to it by using the square teleporter at the center of the maze. After you go through the door, you'll enter an area with a bright green path. Follow the path and do not touch the purple. Sleep in the purple and green bed at the end of the path.
Fake Awake
Available from Night 2
Enter the maze again, and find a door with a yellow house on it. You can find the door fairly quickly if you stick to the right wall (from the character's perspective) and avoid any teleporters. After you go through the door, you'll end up back at the house. If you go outside, you'll notice that the office is gone. This is still a dream. Go back inside and go to sleep. The bed in the house is the bed you were looking for.
Bridge
Available from Night 3
From the nexus, go through the wooden door. You'll enter a grassy cliff with a bridge off to the east. Start walking on the bridge. When the monster appears behind you, turn around and the monster will disappear. Walk back to the cliff. The bed has now appeared.
Eyes
Available from Night 4
From the nexus, enter the door with the red eye. Walk east past the eyes to find a bed with a pattern matching the door.
(Note: technically the eye bed is available earlier than Night 4 through an alternate route, but this is the quickest way to it).
3D
Available from Night 4
Enter the eye world again. Study the pattern of five colored boxes in the purple area below the bed and make a note of the colors. Go back to the nexus and go to the space world. South of the sun are five red boxes. Step on a box to change its color. Make the colors match the patterns you saw in the eye world. When the pattern matches, a door with a cube will appear just north of the colored boxes. Enter the door. In the 3D world, go east until you find a 3D bed.
Finale
Once the all 9 beds have been found, you'll begin the 10th day. Go to the office as usual. When you enter the office, all the cubicles will be gone, replaced by a single bed. Sleep in the bed to access the finale world. The finale world is straightforward. Follow the path, sometimes jumping through teleporters, until you find the final bed. Sleep in the bed to finish the game.
