Effects Guide
Black Hole
Appearance: A black hole opens up around the protagonist and the screen fades to black.
Passive Effect: When equipped, the protagonist is immediately teleported to the nexus.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the black hole area.
Practical Uses: Used to warp back to the nexus.
Enter the top center door in the nexus. There are a couple houses here; enter the one northeast of the door. You'll find yourself in a grey underground tunnel. Head southwest and enter an elevator. Follow the path and go north at the fork. Continue until you are in a new area. Go north and interact with the black hole.
Blue and Black
Appearance: The protagonist's sprite turns blue and black pixels.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found at the blue ball.
Practical Uses: None.
In the nexus, enter the northeast blue door. Go southwest and interact with the bubbles. For this puzzle, go left, left, up, up. Look up and interact with the blue ball.
Four
Appearance: The protagonist wears a hockey mask and their sprite turns red, black, and white.
Passive Effect: Non-hostile NPCs move away from the protagonist.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the 4 world.
Practical Uses: Allows the protagonist to kill NPCs.
Enter the east door in the nexus. Head south and then east. After you pass above a black doorway, Go north when the path splits. Enter this doorway. Walk into the mouth. In this area, an NPC will chase the player, but nothing happens if it touches them. Go north and then northwest when you reach a hand. Enter the head. Head north up to the noose. You'll find yourself in an area with the word 死 "Death" on the ground. Head northwest and walk on top of a tile with the number 4 on it. The tiles are now all 4s. Go south a bit, then west and interact with the 4 that is moving around.
Green and White
Appearance: The protagonist becomes a smaller green and white sprite.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the overworld.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the southeast door in the nexus. Head a bit east and then north. Interact with the digital clock. Go southeast and interact with the red pond with a hand coming out of it.
Monochrome
Appearance: The protagonist's sprite becomes black and white
Passive Effect: Neutral NPCs in the area stop moving.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the bloody area.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the bottom spiral door in the nexus. Go a bit east and then south. Enter the grey building. Go southwest and walk between two cyan creatures. When the scenery changes, head northeast. Interact with the black lock.
Bug
Appearance: The protagonist transforms into a small, bug-like creature.
Passive Effect: The protagonist's movement speed is greatly increased.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the monochrome fence area.
Practical Uses: Can be used to travel through the dream world a lot faster.
This area contains rapidly flashing colors, so take caution. In the nexus, enter the southwest door with diagonal rainbow stripes. Go left and interact with a spinning tablet with a green outline. In the monochrome maze, head east and then north at the first split in the path. Then, go west and north. Continue taking the north path and enter the doorway.
Events
Head event
In the area where you find the Bug effect, interact with the fence under the NPC with a moving head.
Corrupted walk
In the monochrome maze, go east and then north at the second fork. Continue along the path and go south at the next split. Interact with the orange door. To exit the event, press Esc.
Ending Guide
Collect all effects, then wake up and go out through the door. Head straight west. When you reach the end, interact with an invisible tile.
