Effects Guide
Cat
Appearance: Cid becomes an anthropomorphic gray and white cat.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the Nexus (certain conditions must be met first).
Practical Uses: None.
To get this effect, the player must find the two cats in the Dream World. The first can be found by blowing out the bottom-right candle, entering the hole to your left, then going south-east and interacting with the gray and white cat.
The second cat can be found by blowing out the top-left candle. Go left and enter the cave. Go up the north path in the cave north-eastwards of where you enter. Once outside, go right then south-east, following the river to the next area. In the next area, go south and interact with the cat sleeping on one the islands.
Return to the Nexus. Speak to the witch standing next to the two cats. Pick a cat to take with you, and the witch will give you the effect.
Face Mask
Appearance: Cid wears a face mask.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the Cave.
Practical Uses: Grants you access to the city area.
Blow out the top-left candle to Desert World. Go left and enter the cave. Enter the cave the cave entrance near the top of the screen. Go right and talk to the NPC.
Ghost
Appearance: Cid becomes a shadowy ghost.
Passive Effect: Cid becomes invisible to certain NPCs.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the Afterlife.
Practical Uses: Allows you to pass by certain barriers.
Blow out the bottom-right candle to the Afterlife. Step into the hole to your left. Interact with the ghost.
