- Herboreal seeds originally had a striking resemblance to Mobile Sprouts from the Earthbound/Mother series. This is the main reason why they had to be redesigned, however, the resemblance happened completely by accident.
- One of the Sewer Path's Sewerworms looks almost exactly like the Medamaude Effect from the original Yume Nikki.
