Effects Guide
Lamp
Appearance: Player carries a flashlight.
Passive Effect: Emits light when activated.
Action: (1) Toggles the lamp on/off.
Location: Found in the Street World.
Practical Uses: Lights up the area around you, making it easier to navigate dark areas.
Interact with the red umbrella in the Nexus. In the Street world, turn around so that you're facing the opposite end of the road then walk forward. You should come across a street lamp standing to your left. Interact with the lamp to get the effect.
Song
Appearance: None.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (2) Shuffles the BGM.
Location: Found in the Restaurant World.
Practical Uses: Used to obtain an effect.
(Lamp effect is needed.)
Interact with the floating pizza in the Nexus. In the Restaurant world, walk down the hallway in front of your behind the two giant pots. Hug the wall to your left as you go down then turn the corner and go left. Continue hugging the wall as you move and you should arrive at a room with a table near the top-left corner. Interact with the gramophone on the table.
World Unloop
Appearance: A circle appears at the top-left corner of the screen.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (3) When active in a "looping" world, the loop will end and players will be able to explore outside the loop (e.g. the Dark Stairway World).
Location: Found in the Sky Bridge World.
Practical Uses: Required for the ending.

Walk through the white doorway in the Nexus. Walk into the building. Just as you reach the dead-end, press the "2" key. A path will begin to open up to your right. Go down this path then press the 2 key to keep progressing; more walls will disappear to reveal part of the path. You should eventually reach a dead-end with a circular drawing on the wall. Interact with this drawing to get the effect.
Return
Appearance: None.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (4) Sends the player back one world (e.g. When used in Street World, player will be warped to the Nexus).
Location: Found in the Blacked-out Playground.
Practical Uses: Allows players to warp back one area.
Interact with the red umbrella in the Nexus. Walk north-east from where you arrive in the foggy street area. You should come across a square, dark blue circus tent. Walk into this tent and you'll be teleported to a blacked-out playground. Interact with the ball floating about to get the effect.
Bird Eyes
Appearance: A green eye cutout covers the screen when active.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (5) Player can look through a bird's eyes. (C) When active, players can zoom in.
Location: Found in the Blue Collectible Room.
Practical Uses: Can be used to zoom in on objects.
(You must have obtained one or more collectibles to get this effect.)
Interact with the blue birdbath in the Nexus. Interact with the lever to your right then turn around and jump down the hatch. On the next floor, enter the tunnel and interact with the face sticking out of the ground.
Collectibles Guide
Most collectibles can be obtained in any order.
Collectible 1
(Having the Lamp effect is recommended.)
Interact with the floating pizza in the Nexus. Walk down the hallway in front of your behind the two giant pots. Hug the wall on the right as you go down until you reach the table. Walk north past the table; if you look to your right you come across a red light on the ground in another room. Interact with this light to get the collectible. The light will disappear once the collectible is obtained.
Collectible 2
Interact with the red umbrella in the Nexus. Turn around and go north-west onto the grass next to the road. Head left and look for a small dark blue building. Enter this building and interact with the light on the floor.
Collectible 3
(Having the Lamp effect is recommended.)
Interact with the red umbrella in the Nexus. In the foggy street area, turn around so that you're facing the opposite end of the road then walk forward. You should come across a street lamp standing to your left. Walk up to the lamp then interact with the tree standing behind it. This will send you to a forest area. Look left and you should see a green light coming out of the ground. Make your way to this light and interact with it.
Collectible 4
Interact with the blue birdbath in the Nexus. Interact with the light on the floor.
Collectible 5
(At least two collectibles must be obtained to unlock this collectible.)
Interact with the green birdbath in the Nexus. Go right and walk through the door into the next room. Go through the door on the other side of the second room then interact with the light near the top-right corner of the empty room.
Collectible 6
(Having the Lamp effect is recommended.)
Interact with the ice-cream cone in the Nexus. Turn around and jump onto the platform behind you. Go forward a bit and jump onto the next platform. Go up the stairs and you'll be teleported to a large room. Go left and walk up the stairs. Hop across the barrels and interact with the light on the platform.
Collectible 7
Walk through the white doorway in the Nexus. Turn away from the building and hop across the floating platforms. Interact with the light on the final platform.
Events/Easter Eggs
Lamp Ghost
Once you obtain enough collectibles, there's a random chance of a figure carrying a lamp appearing in the street world. This figure cannot be interacted with.
O-Man Forest
Interact with the red umbrella in the Nexus. In the foggy street area, turn around so that you're facing the opposite end of the road then walk forward. You should come across a street lamp standing to your left. Walk up to the lamp then interact with the tree standing behind it. There's a random chance that the music will change and O-Man will appear on a rock in the clearing.
Blue Chaos Room
Interact with the nightstand in the Nexus. If you wait in the room long enough part of the Yume Nikki theme will play.
Ending
Interact with the red umbrella in the Nexus. Look right and you should see a blue doorway with stairs. Walk up these stairs then go through the doorway. Activate the World Unloop effect then turn around. Walk up the stairs to reach the ending card.
