Okutsuki's Effects Guide
Okutsuki's effects have different names and descriptions when in the real world.
Left Eye (左目)/Photo (写真)
The left eye turns blue./ I don't remember when I took this photo.
Appearance: Okutsuki's left eye turns blue.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Flesh World.
Practical Uses: None.
- You will need the Dwarf effect to obtain this effect.
- Having the Reed Boat and/or Face Cloth effects is recommended.
Interact with the candle in the nexus. Head a bit right, then up until you get to a tent. Equip the Dwarf effect to enter it. Equip the Reed Boat or Face Cloth to avoid the chasers in the area make make your way northwest and interact with a grey object to get to the Chaser Maze. Head up, right, and up until you reach a 4 way intersection. Go left a few step, then up again. Keep left at the next split and go up past some doors. Keep right at the next fork and make your way to a pink NPC to get to Flesh World. Go southwest through the opening in a wall and interact with the eye.
Right Eye (右目)/ Prosthetic Eye (義眼)
Expose your right eye./ A prosthetic eye with bright red pupils.
Appearance: Okutsuki's right eye turns red.
Passive Effect: Okutsuki can see hidden objects.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Flesh World.
Practical Uses: Can be used to access new areas.
- You will need the Dwarf effect to obtain this effect.
- Having the Reed Boat and/or Face Cloth effects is recommended.
In Flesh World, go straight south and through an opening in the wall. Interact with the hole in the floor.
Reed Boat (葦船)/ Model (模型)
Ride a reed boat./ A model battleship.
Appearance: Okutsuki rides in a reed boat,
Passive Effect: Okutsuki's movement speed is increased.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Cairn World.
Practical Uses: Can be used to travel through the dream world a lot faster and avoid chasers.
Interact with the stone cairn in the nexus. Head southwest and interact with the boat.
Marine (海兵)/ Military Sword (軍刀)
Dress as a Marine./ A real sword.
Appearance: Okutsuki wears a Marine Corps uniform and wields a sword. When an NPC is killed, blood splatters on the uniform.
Passive Effect: When the sword is drawn, NPCs avoid Okutsuki.
Action: (Shift) Okutsuki unsheathes and sheathes the sword
Location: Found on the Dock.
Practical Uses: This effect allows Okutsuki to kill NPCs when the sword is drawn.
Interact with the stone cairn in the nexus. Head southeast and through 3 pairs of cairns from the bottom. Interact with the white hat and sword.
Silver Fox (銀狐)/ Stuffed Toy (ぬいぐるみ)
Become a silver fox./ A worn-out stuffed fox.
Appearance: Okutsuki becomes a silver fox.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Pillar World.
Practical Uses: None.
Interact with the plant in the nexus. Head northeast and interact with the silver fox.
Dwarf (侏儒)/ Kokeshi Doll (小芥子)
Become smaller./ A slightly moldy kokeshi doll.
Appearance: Okutsuki becomes small.
Passive Effect: Okutsuki's movement speed is reduced and can fit through small entrances.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Candle World.
Practical Uses: Can be used to access new areas.
Interact with the candle in the nexus. Head left and interact with a small circular object.
Tree Moss (木毛)/ Pebble (小石)
Tree moss grows./ A mossy stone.
Appearance: Okutsuki becomes covered in tree moss.
Passive Effect: Okutsuki's movement speed is reduced.
Action: (Shift) Okutsuki melts and returns to the dream bedroom.
Location: Found in Forest World.
Practical Uses: Used to warp back to the dream bedroom.
Interact with the plant in the nexus. Head southwest and through 3 pairs of small pillars. Go north, then west until you see a mossy NPC to get the effect.
Dragon Flute (龍笛)/ Flute (横笛)
Hold a dragon flute./ A black flute.
Appearance: Okutsuki carries a dragon flute.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Okutsuki Plays a few notes.
Location: Found in the Chaser Maze.
Practical Uses: None.
- You will need the Dwarf and Right Eye effects to obtain this effect.
- Having the Reed Boat and/or Face Cloth effects is recommended.
In the Chaser Maze, head up, right, up, left, and equip the Right Eye effect. Head up and you should see some blood on the ground near a wall. Interact with it to get to a new room. Pick up the black flute.
Face Cloth (面布)/ Talisman (御札)
Cover your face with a cloth./ A talisman with a red pattern on a black background.
Appearance: Okutsuki wears a cloth covering his face.
Passive Effect: Chasers ignore Okutsuki, even when interacted with.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the Chaser Maze Bathroom.
Practical Uses: Used to avoid chasers.
- You will need the Dwarf effect to obtain this effect.
- Having the Reed Boat effect is recommended.
Interact with the candle in the nexus. Head a bit right, then up until you get to a tent. Equip the Dwarf effect to enter it. Equip the Reed Boat or Face Cloth to avoid the chasers in the area make make your way northwest and interact with a grey object to get to the Chaser Maze. Head down, right, down, and through the doors. Open the last stall on the left.
Disaster (禍殃)/ Fragment (破片)
To suffer disaster./ A piece of plastic or something.
Appearance: Red fragments protrude form Okutsuki's face.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Sign Road.
Practical Uses: None. When going to sleep, there is a chance that sleeping in the dream bed will take Okutsuki to a stairwell. Go down the stairs and through the door. Go through the red double doors. Head north and interact with a hole in the ground. Make your way to to a red motorcycle that will take you to a looping area. Go left until a cutscene triggers. You'll obtain the effect once it's done.
Nawatsuki's Effects Guide
The ability to play as Nawatsuki is unlocked when the player collects Okutsuki's Face Cloth effect. Have Okutsuki wake up and enter the room next door from the porch. Interact with the shrine. Nawatsuki's effects have different names and descriptions when in her bedroom.
Sunflower (ひまわり)/ Brooch (ぶろーち)
Sunflowers are blooming./ A sunflower brooch.
Appearance: Nawatsuki's face is replaced with a sunflower.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Sunflower World.
Practical Uses: None.
Interact with the sunflower in the nexus. Go south, east, north, then west. Pick up the wilted sunflower.
Rabbit (うさぎ)/ Stuffed Toy (ぬいぐるみ)
Become a rabbit./ A worn-out stuffed rabbit.
Appearance: Nawatsuki wears a rabbit hoodie.
Passive Effect: Some NPCs are drawn towards Nawatsuki.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Bunny World.
Practical Uses: None.
Interact with the star in the nexus. Head northwest and pick up the pink bunny ears.
Small Boat (こぶね)/ Boat (おふね)
Ride on a boat./ A small boat.
Appearance: Nawatsuki rides in a small, pink boat.
Passive Effect: Nawatsuki's movement speed is increased.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Strawberry Milk World.
Practical Uses: Can be used to travel through the dream world a lot faster.
Interact with the glass of strawberry milk in the nexus. Head south to find a small boat.
Sailor (せーらー)/ Hat (おぼうし)
Wear a sailor uniform./ A hat with pompoms.
Appearance: Nawatsuki wears a sailor outfit.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Sunflower World.
Practical Uses: None.
Interact with the sunflower in the nexus. Go south, then west and interact with a sunflower with a ribbon tied around it. Go right and pick up the hat.
Oinari (おいなり)/ Mask (おめん)
Become an Oinari./ A fox mask.
Appearance: Nawatsuki becomes wrapped in fried tofu.
Passive Effect: Nawatsuki's movement speed is reduced.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Torii World.
Practical Uses: None.
Interact with the torii gate in the nexus. Head south and then west when you reach a torii gate. Stand in the middle of three statues and interact with them.
Dwarf (こびと)/ Kokeshi (こけし)
Become small./ A cute kokeshi doll.
Appearance: Nawatsuki becomes small.
Passive Effect: Nawatsuki's movement speed is reduced and can fit through small entrances.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Snow World.
Practical Uses: Can be used to access new areas.
Interact with the star in the nexus. Head south and interact with the small snowman between some spoons. Go southwest and catch the NPC running around.
White Paste (しろねり)/ Cocoon Ball (まゆだま)
Turn silvery white./ A branch with silk threads.
Appearance: Nawatsuki becomes white with red eyes.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Snow World.
Practical Uses: None.
Interact with the star in the nexus. Head south and interact with the small snowman between some spoons. Go northwest and interact with the white balloon.
Horns (つの)/ Talisman (おふだ)
Horns grow./ A black talisman.
Appearance: Nawatsuki grows pink horns.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: None.
Location: Found in Horn Area.
Practical Uses: None.
Interact with the torii gate in the nexus. Head right and through the horns. Interact with the NPC with a face cloth.
