Overview

Yume Tagai (ゆめたがい, Mutual Dream) is a Japanese Yume Nikki Fangame created by Hinamokke (ひなもっけ) in WOLF RPG Editor.

Gameplay

Yume Tagai is a traditional fangame. The player's able to enter the dream world by taking a nap on the pillow. In the dream world, the main character has a big room with a balcony, and a door to exit to a nexus. The goal is to explore the dream world and collect effects.

Interacting with the box in the real room allows the player to save.

Plot

The game's first act is centered around Makitsuki (まきつき), a girl living in a small abandoned room who cannot leave.

Upon accomplishing a series of tasks, Sakiyuki (さきゆき) becomes a playable character. From this point onwards, you can alternate between her and Makitsuki by interacting with a mirror, with the dream world's bedroom being the main area.

Deer (しか)		Makitsuki becomes a deer, increasing her speed. Pressing Shift makes her eat off the ground.
Board (角材)		Makitsuki carries a square board as a weapon.
White Snake (白へび)		Makitsuki becomes a white snake. Pressing Shift makes her hiss and stop NPC movement.
Shell (貝がら)		Makitsuki sits in a big shell. Pressing Shift closes the shell and returns her to the Nexus.
Shaved Ice (かき氷)		Makitsuki turns into a bowl of shaved ice. Pressing Shift causes snow to fall.
Marble (マーブル)		Makitsuki's appearance becomes marbled. Pressing Shift distorts her color palette.
Bonfire (たき火)		Makitsuki becomes a bonfire. Pressing Shift extinguishes the fire. This effect can light up some areas.
Loose Hair (おろしがみ)		Makitsuki lets her hair flow loose. Pressing Shift makes her sit down.
Little Bird (小鳥)		Makitsuki becomes a small brown bird. Pressing Shift makes her start flying, increasing her speed.
Tray (おぼん)		Makitsuki carries a saucer tray with glasses. Pressing Shift makes her put a glass on the ground. Up to 3 glasses can be placed at a time. Pressing Shift with no glasses on the tray returns them to Makitsuki.

Butter Knife (バターナイフ)		Sakiyuki carries a butter knife as a weapon.
Stuffed Animal (ぬいぐるみ)		Sakiyuki becomes a plush animal. Pressing Shift makes her jump with her arm up, stopping NPC movement.
Rift (さけ目)		Sakiyuki gets a large opening across her body. Pressing Shift opens that slit, revealing an eye and returning her to the Nexus.
Kappa (かっぱ)		Sakiyuki becomes a Kappa. Pressing Shift makes it rain.
Plum Tree (梅)		Sakiyuki's head becomes a plum tree. Pressing Shift makes it snow, with a chance of letting plum blossoms fall instead.
