Overview
Drawing with Nat: Dream Diary is an English Yume Nikki fangame created by Jeledraws in RPG Maker VX ACE.
Gameplay
The Player explores the dreams of Nat, a black cat who enjoys creating art. Players enter the dreamworld by going to sleep in Nat's apartment. The Nexus of this game includes some additional rooms that act as either shortcuts to specific areas or help keep track of the number of forms that have currently been obtained. There are no dream doors within the nexus, instead an elevator is used that can take you to different starting worlds.
The goal of the game is to explore and collect various effects (Called "Forms" in this game) and also collect "Inspiration" which can be used to create drawings, drawings can be viewed within the players inventory at any time. There are 11 main forms to obtain and 2 secret forms, and there are 60 main drawings to find and create, as well as 4 secret drawings.
The Player can save their progress by interacting with Nat's desk whilst awake.
There is one ending to obtain which requires obtaining all 11 forms and all 60 drawings. The ending can be seen by entering Nat's balcony once this goal has been reached.

Plot
You play as Nat, a 20 year old cat who enjoys creating art. After trying to leave her apartment she can find a pair of workers who are repairing an elevator, and is told it won't be fixed for quite some time. All Nat can really do now is fall asleep and enter her dreamworld.

Pressing the ability button makes Nat ride the skateboard, increasing her movement speed. Pressing the menu button whilst riding on the skateboard makes Nat perform a pose. |

Nat becomes goop.
Pressing the ability button makes Nat melt into a goop, lowering her move speed. Whilst melted, Nat can squeeze into small gaps such as the sewer grates. |
| Bell |  |
Nat becomes a giant brass bell.
This effect lowers her movement speed. Pressing the ability button makes Nat perform a bell toll and return to the Elevator. |
| Balloon |  |
Nat inflates into a balloon and floats off the ground.
This effect lowers her movement speed. Nat can float over certain gaps whilst this effect is active. |
| Lamp |  |
Nat's head turns into a lamp.
Pressing the ability button turns the lamp on and off. Whilst the Lamp is turned on any dark areas become illuminated. |
| Eye |  |
Nat's head turns into a single large eye.
This effect reveals hidden eye doors. Pressing the ability button when an eye door is nearby makes the eye react. This effect also allows Nat to enter Eye world by interacting with an NPC found in the Halls areas. |
| Vanish |  |
Nat's body disappears.
This effect passively makes Dicehead enemies ignore her. |
| TV |  |
Nat's head turns into a TV.
Pressing the ability button will randomly change the image displayed on the TV screen. The purple dicehead screen passively makes Dicehead enemies ignore her. |
| Rockstar |   |
Nat changes her outfit and wields a guitar.
Pressing the ability button will make Nat pull out the guitar, allowing you to play it. You can play different notes with the movement keys, and change the tune with menu button. |

Nat becomes chubbier.

Nat becomes a rabbit.
Pressing the ability button will make Nat jump on the spot. |
Secret Forms

Nat turns into Jel-e, the slime lady. Which is the developers mascot.
This effect is identical to the Goop effect, however Jel moves at normal speed whilst melted. Can be unlocked by entering the code: "Jel-e" or "Jeledraws". |

Nat becomes a spark of electricity.
This effect increases her speed. Can be unlocked by entering the code: "Spark". |
