Makitsuki's Effects
Deer (しか)
Appearance: Makitsuki becomes a deer.
Passive Effect: Makitsuki travels at double her walking speed.
Action: (Shift) Makitsuki eats off the ground for a second.
Location: Found in Flower World.
Practical Uses: Can be used to travel through the dream world much faster.
Enter the light yellow door to the Flower World. Go down about 20 steps, then go right. Interact with the deer.
Square Bar (角材)
Appearance: Makitsuki carries a square bar.
Passive Effect: NPCs may move away from her.
Action: None.
Location: Found in the Service Rooms.
Practical Uses: This effect allows Makitsuki to kill or injure NPCs.
Enter the light yellow door to the Flower World. Look around for a brown structure with a door on the side. Enter it and keep going right until you reach the School. Go to the bottom floor and enter the door with the green sign above it. Go left, left, left, up, left and check the bar on the floor.
White Snake (白へび)
Appearance: Makitsuki becomes a white snake.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Makes Makitsuki raise her head and hiss.
Location: Found in Snakes World.
Practical Uses: Can be used to stop NPC movement.
Enter the brownish door with jagged lines on it to the Snakes World. Go down from the door, take the path to the right, then take the upper path when it divides into two, take the path going up and go straight up until you see a red snake and a green one. Take the upper left path and keep going until you see a curly object on the ground. Interact with it to get the effect.
Shell (貝がら)
Appearance: Makitsuki sits in a big shell.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Closes the shell and warps Makitsuki to the Nexus.
Location: Found in Gold World.
Practical Uses: This effect allows Makitsuki to teleport to the Nexus at will.
Enter the black-gold door to the Gold World. Go down until you reach the end of the line, then go right. You should pass by a purple object on the floor south of Makitsuki. Interact with the object.
Shaved Ice (かき氷)
Appearance: Makitsuki becomes a bowl of shaved ice.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Snow starts to fall. Pressing Shift again will toggle the amount of snow fall.
Location: Found in Spinning Blocks World.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the light blue door to the Spinning Blocks World. Look for a floating ball moving around the map and interact with it.
Marble (マーブル)
Appearance: Makitsuki's appearance becomes marbled.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Makitsuki's colors change.
Location: Found in the Marble House.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the brownish door with jagged lines on it to the Snakes World. Go down from the door, take the path to the right, then take the path going up where the purple snake head is. As you reach the wider area, take the short path on the right and interact with the snake tile.
In the tiled path area, head north then go right and go under the stone arch. Head down and right from where you're teleported and go between the two pillars with red stones in them to reach an area filled with purple and pink blocks. Go left and up to the next area. Go north again and head up a narrow path at the top. Enter the little blue house and interact with the puddle inside.
Bonfire (たき火)
Appearance: Makitsuki becomes a bonfire.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) The bonfire flame goes out. Pressing Shift again will reignite it.
Location: Found in Blue Tree World.
Practical Uses: None.
Enter the dark blue door to Blue Tree World. Go south-west from the door and interact with the burning log.
Grated Hair (おろしがみ)
Appearance: Makitsuki gets grated hair.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Makitsuki sits down.
Location: Found in the Apartments.
Practical Uses: Necessary for advancing to Act II.
To be able to access this effect's location, you must have completed the A Long Way Down event first.
Enter the light blue door to the Spinning Blocks World, then enter the small blue building. Take the ladder and interact with the orb of light to enter the Streetlight Maze, and find two structures placed together, then go in between them, leading to the River Path.
Go all the way to the right, leading to the Suburbs, and follow the paths north such that it reaches sunset, until you find your way to the Mansion's entrance. Go to the fifth floor of the Mansion and enter the door, then make your way to the labyrinthine complex until you find a solitary door at the northernmost section. This leads to a small room inhabited by a girl resembling Makitsuki. Interact with her to obtain the effect, which will then trigger a short cutscene, where Makitsuki will wake up afterwards.
Small Bird (小鳥)
Appearance: Makitsuki becomes a small brown bird.
Passive Effect: None.
Action: (Shift) Makitsuki starts flying, increasing her speed.
Location: Found in the Ribbon Stairway.
Practical Uses: Can be used to travel through the dream world faster.
Enter the dark blue door to Blue Tree World. Go down from the door until you're standing next to a three-leaf plant. Go left from there and step between the two pink statues. Go up and enter the blue spiral tower. Go up the stairs to the Ribbon Stairway. Make your way up this area; look for a set of stairs leading off-screen near the top-left section of this area and go up it. You should arrive in a room with a large white tree and a platform. Go up the stairs to the left of the tree and interact with the bird on the branch.
Sakiyuki's Effects
Wild Boar (うりぼう)
Appearance: Sakiyuki becomes a small wild boar.
Passive Effect: Sakiyuki travels at double her walking speed.
Action: None
Location: Found in Burner World.
Practical Uses: Can be used to travel through the dream world faster.
Enter the dark blue door to Burner World. Go at least 32 steps down the door, then either wait or move horizontally until you encounter a wild boar dashing west, then interact with it.
Butter Knife (バターナイフ)
Appearance: Sakiyuki carries a butter knife.
Passive Effect: None
Action: None
Location: Found in Cannibal's Carnival.
Practical Uses: This effect allows Sakiyuki to kill or injure NPCs.
Enter the dark pink door to the Cannibal's Carnival, then head southeast from the entrance until you find a set of forks beaten into the ground, and interact with the butter knife on the center.

A Long Way Down
This event contains flashing images.
At least one effect must have been obtained.
There's a random chance that, when getting into bed in Makitsuki's dream room, she'll be teleported to a seemingly infinite road. Walking left for a couple of moments, then turning back right will transport her to a grey abstract place. Going up to the edge of this place shows an unreachable girl whose face is hidden standing in front of Makitsuki. After a brief cutscene, Makitsuki will be transported to a dim hallway. Going north will bring her to a more winding area with chasers.
North-west of where you enter is a door that can be entered. Entering this door then going down the stairs will bring you to a blood-stained hall. Reaching the end of this hall wall cause a brief cutscene to play. Makitsuki will wake up immediately afterwards. This will summon chasers across the dream world, and will also unlock the door in the 5th floor of the Mansion.
Going right immediately while on the road results in her being teleported in one of the classrooms in the School.
Small Bird's Journey
Small Bird effect is needed.
Enter the light yellow door to Flower World. Go north-west and enter the brown doorway. Keep going right down the stairs to enter the School. Go to the rooftop and interact with the right-side wall while you have the Small Bird effect equipped and are flying. Makitsuki will fly off-screen and the event will start. Pressing X will end the event.
Changing Menu
Enter the light blue door to the Spinning Blocks World. Go south-east and enter the small blue building. Once inside, go right and interact with the NPC at the desk to change your menu layout.
Beast of the Supply Room
Square Bar effect is needed.
Enter the light yellow door to Flower World, and head over to the brown doorway north-west of the entrance, then go all the way right to enter the School. Go to the lowest floor and enter the door with the green sign. Go left, up, left, up, then up, and climb the ladder. You will encounter a vaguely-feline cycloptic creature at the top of this area. There is a 1/64 chance, that if you attack the creature with the Square Bar, the music will stop with the creature being brutally slain, and the area having a pink tint. From here, if you exit the area, Makitsuki will be accosted by two long, bloody arms, taking her to a small, bloody, inescapable room with an eye above, gazing at her. By using the Bonfire effect, this area will have a bright glow.
- Be careful when performing this event, as it is detrimental to advancing towards Act II.
Act II
Grated Hair effect is needed.
Certain tasks in the first act increment Makitsuki's SP, represented by the blue gauge in her stat card on the menu, which represents progress for these set of tasks.
The first steps are fulfilling the Long Way Down event, then obtaining the Grated Hair effect.
From there, return to the Apartments and interact with the girl who has granted you the Grated Hair effect, who now bears Makitsuki's hairstyle at this state. Return to Makitsuki's dream room, and flip the lights repeatedly, as there is a chance that this same girl will appear on the upper deck of Makitsuki's bed, feeling down. Interact with her once that happens, then leave the Grated Hair effect in the storage area, accessible from the balcony, and re-obtain that effect from the Apartments.
Perform the same steps in letting the girl appear on her bed in Makitsuki's room, who will then have a livelier disposition. Interact with her afterwards for her to move her feet about. Repeat the cycle of leaving the Grated Hair effect in the storage area and obtaining it from the Apartments thrice, until you have 10 SP, then follow the directions to triggering the A Long Way Down event, with the Grated Hair effect with you. In doing so, instead of making your way to the end of the cliff, you will be taken to a white space, where going north will let you encounter the girl whom you have been encountering thus far. Interacting with her will make the screen flash, sending you back to Makitsuki's dream room, where you now assume control of her, whose name is revealed as Sakiyuki, thereby starting the second act.
In Act II, waking up no longer sends you back to the real world, as doing so takes you back to Makitsuki's dream room, alternating the current player character as well. Interacting with the table, which now has a paper and drawing materials, lets you save the game.
