Overview

Burden 2: Remnants was created for the Yume Nikki Dream Diary Jam 4 by VitaliaDi. It is an English fangame made in RPG Maker MV. As a sequel to the surreal horror game Burden RPG, the story follows Mila as she experiences past memories through the veil of her dreams.

Gameplay

The player progresses in Burden 2: Remnants by exploring different maps and collecting Effects. Some effects will allow a player to reach inaccessible areas. Find hidden Marbled Hearts to unlock the secret ending.

Movement: Arrow Keys
Interact: Space/Enter
Effect Action: Shift
Menu/Back: Esc/X

Plot

After the events of the horror game Burden RPG, Mila returns to the surface world and tries to live a normal life. But, in her dreams she can see her loved ones again.

Effects

Effect	Image	Description
Cellphone		Mila transforms into her sleeping form. Pressing shift will play her alarm and cause her to wake up.
Teddy Bear		Mila transforms into a child holding a teddy bear. Pressing shift will cause a heart to float above her head while she laughs.
Fish Food		Mila transforms into a mermaid while int he water. Pressing shift will cause bubbles to float above her head.
Mask		Mila transforms into a masked fox spirit.
Lantern		Mila transforms into a masked fox spirit holding a lantern.
