if Nil then is an English Yume Nikki fangame created by Shirleycrow for Dream Diary Jam 5. The game was developed in RPG Maker 2003.

Gameplay

if Nil then is a traditional fangame. By interacting with the head in the room, the player can either save or go into the dream world. The goal is to explore and collect effects.

Plot

You begin the game as a spirit named Nil, stuck in a blood covered room with a disembodied head. Interacting with the head will allow to take control of Nozomi.

Effects

Effect	Image	Description
Bushes		Nozomi hides in a bush. Pressing Shift makes Nozomi's face pop out from the bushes for a second.
Rope		A rope is tied around Nozomi's neck. Pressing Shift will pull the rope upward, decapitating Nozomi before returning her to the Nexus.
Fluorescent		Nozomi becomes fluorescent. Pressing Shift changes Nozomi's colors.
